About
Seaport Village is a vibrant harborside spot with stellar views of the San Diego skyline. There’s plenty to do here—stroll along the promenade, check out the art galleries, enjoy a meal at an upscale restaurant or do some shopping (local wines and souvenirs are good buys). Younger children will love the historic hand-carved carousel. Weekdays are the best time to visit when it’s less crowded and the vibe is more laid-back. The village is a stop on many hop-on, hop-off trolley tours of San Diego; include a visit to the USS Midway Museum and Maritime Museum along the way. – Tripadvisor

    Fun area
While my son went to the USS Midway Museum, the rest of our family walked down to Seaport Village. Nice sidewalk to walk past restaurants, street vendors and beautiful yachts. Variety of restaurants in this area and large parking lot nearby.

    Good spot. Great scenery.
We enjoyed a very good view and meal at the Fish Market restaurant right on the water. We were told the swordfish was caught right there in the bay. The crab cakes were great. Saw the touristy sights including the Unconditional Surrender “kissing” statue, USS Midway, the Bob Hope memorial area, and a few beautiful ships and a submarine walking along the water. Great views and photo opportunities. The scenery is very busy with military helicopters and various boats.

    Beautiful views
Seaport Village is located right long the waterfront in San Diego. There is a wide, flat footpath taking you along the waterfront from the Convention Centre to past the USS Midway Museum. Beautiful water views, views of the Coronado Bridge, the USS Midway and in the Village itself, there are lots of shops and restaurants. A great easy place to visit.

Worth a visit! Plan Lunch or Dinner!
Late post Came with some friends and one of them kinda broke her leg so she we knew we couldn’t walk around too much but the Village itself is quite beautiful, people come to walk around the boardwalk, chill at the park and best of all they are dog friendly. The stores are typical of most places, The Bay company souvenir shop, boutiques, sun glasses, hat store, crazy shirts, toy store, hot sauce store and so much more. Can’t wait to come again and actually walk around the whole place! Give them a visit!

Nice place to visit on a sunny day
Great place to visit when the weather is nice outside. Lots of shops and restaurants grouped right by the water. Even has a working carousel. You can also walk along the boardwalk. There is paid parking onsite, but it is pricey. We stayed for 1.5 hrs and were charged $16. Definitely a nice place to wander around and get lunch or dinner.

Fun little shopping and walking area
Fun little area to walk, shop and see some history. We didn't have time to tour the Midway, but we spent a little bit of time in that area. The shopping area was a lot of fun, just enough variety for all of us. There are a few places to eat, we enjoyed some great seafood at the restaurant right by the Midway.

Lovely place to shop and stroll
This is a lovely area to stroll, shop, and eat. We picked up a few keepsakes and walked through the marina area. We didn’t have too much time to spend here but enjoyed what we were able to do. From here, we walked back up to the USS Midway/Maritime Museum area.

    Typical tourist shopping attraction
A typical selection of shops in a highly visited location. Some ecclectic, and others mainstream with some arts and crafts thrown in the mix. Bars and food also available with very limited waiting time.

go to spot in SD for your touristy bits, shops are quite repetitive but there's a few nice bars around and it's a nice spot to relax and look out into the harbour and bay. Parking, expensive.

Stroll along the sea wall, visit the shops, play in the sand, have a pretzel or ice cream, continue down the beach to tour the USS Midway

Quaint shopping & restaurants near the waterfront. Parking a challenge. Does have validation if you purchase at least $10 at one of the shops or restaurants.

We stayed across the street from Seaport Village so it was super easy to walk here and enjoy the area. Lots of very touristy shops and several restaurants with dining by the water.

Beautiful area to walk near the water while shopping in an unique variety of stores. Good selection of restaurants and cafes also. Plan to spend 1-2 hours in the area.

We were in San Diego November 15 - 20, 2023. We were staying at the Grand Hyatt which looms tall over the Seaport Village just two blocks away. My wife was attending a work conference there and I was just along for fun. So every day, I went for a walk along the promenade all the way down to the tall ships: Surprise, and Star of India .
Yes this area is VERY touristy, but there is plenty to see and do for anyone visiting.

--I read a few reviews of people complaining about the presence of homeless people. They don't bother me and I feel compassion for them. Rather than complain, I advise getting involved with organizations that help reduce poverty.--

There are plenty of shops here and if shopping is your thing, you may find something to take home with you. There is quite the variety and of course trinkets and souvenirs abound. A few good restaurants (along with crappy ones) here. I highly recommend Malibu Farm.. great food (not as expensive as other nearby places), great service and a great elevated view of the harbor. You can also catch day cruises from here, to Coronado Island and other scenic trips. The USS Midway aircraft carrier is here, but super, super busy. Tour buses and cruise ships make this area a stop, which means it can be crowded when cruise ships make port. Just walking by USS Midway is very interesting. I also recommend walking over to the "Embracing Peace" Statue as well as the Bob Hope USO Memorial next to it. Beautiful place to visit.
