My husband and I took both of our golden retrievers to Ponca this past weekend. We stopped at the low water bridge to walk around. Our 10 year old golden was is sensitive to heat so I let her off her leash for a couple of minutes to get in the water and the ranger gave us a ticket for... More

The Buffalo River and the surrounding area boasts some of the most beautiful scenery I can imagine. There are so many different natural treasures to be seen in this area. There are parts of the area that almost seem to warp you into a setting only seen in movies. There are no pictures that can truly do this area justice.... More

Despite the snow flurries that occurred during our visit to Buffalo National River we still chose to hike the mile out to the river overlook. We were not disappointed! Great hike that provided a nice workout and beautiful views when we reached the overlook! Lots of fun little streams to cross to get to that point.

What a beautiful place in the country. The trees are gorgeous. Very windy roads and some rough roads depending on where you're going but they are well worth the trouble for the reward of spending time outdoors in this gorgeous place. Perfect place to leave your cell phone in your car and get away; you probably won't get much reception... More

This is the most beautiful and Natural River on Earth. Peaceful magical serenity awaits flowing down the Buffalo. Clean scenic winding hiking trails with views galore, as well! Love the lovely waterfalls. Swimming holes and excellent fishing. Primitive camping and cozy cabins! Long Live Our Beloved Buffalo

Been here many times over the years. Great places for camping, swimming, hiking, and floating. Taken many float trips. Several very good companies to pick from. Abundant camp sites. Very economical.

It's a nice place to appreciate nature. Many trails are available. The best experience is by floating down the river.

My mom and I went hiking through the National River Park. It is home to some beautiful views and amazing demonstrations of nature. Although it's so beautiful, it seems to be largely undisturbed by tourists. I have to say they are missing out. Arkansas isn't exactly known for tourism, but if you're ever headed through the area I definitely recommend... More
