Neighborhood: Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.

We attended the Jurassic Park concert of the Boston POPS. I had not been in decades. The show was excellent. It was the original Jurassic Park movie accompanied by live music of the POPS. The side balcony seats were comfortable with good views. There were restrooms and refreshments available on the 2nd floor which could be reached via elevator. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is even a small gift shop but. alas, no postcards. There were 2 small animated dinosaurs in the lobby. They trekked with their handlers through the concert hall but I would have enjoyed seeing them up on stage. Parking at the Westland Street Garage was easy but their elevator was out.

Show was great but upset to see the blatant politics during the story. As if we don’t see enough propaganda in our daily lives

The worst fireworks ever seen!
Short and in the middle of a crazy crowd. Fires impossible to see, too late in the night hence low clouds and fog covered it all… huge mess!

This was very enjoyable. I have never been and didn't know what to expect here. We sat on the main floor which gave us a table to sit at which enabled us to even order food if we wished to. My daughter even brought her own bottle of soda with her as did others.

The fireworks were amazing, with many different types, colors, and length; we got there about 4 hrs early; I think it’s ok to go a bit later; taking MTA was great; park out of city and take it in

This was actually our first time watching the Boston Pops. It was their Holiday show, and was filled with remarkable music and chorus. There were several clever aspects, including a heart-warming projection of children's Christmas stories on the stage curtain while Christmas songs were delivered by a performer with a very strong and clear voice. Very nice. The chorus did a humorous rendition of the 12 days of Christmas. It was a stadding ovation at the conclusion. It was good to see that proof of vaccination and a mask were rewquired for entry.

I tuned into CH 7 for an evening of patriotic music and holiday fireworks (5 July 2021). I watched it for 2 hours and only heard one, one mind you, compilation of the armed forces anthems. The commentators were rude; they cut Keith off in mid sentence to go to a series of commercials and they cut a piece short for more commercials! Note also that each commercial stream was anywhere from 7 to 11 back to back ads! At 10:00 I gave up and went to bed. This was the worst 4th of July concert I have ever heard out of the Pops. I blame it all on CH 7 and the Bloomberg group of management.

Awesome! I hadn’t seen/heard the Pops in 23 years and I was amazed. Keith and team went the extra mile with a phenomenal back up chorus. I was pleasantly surprised they made fun modifications to some Christmas classics like On the first day of Christmas. When they held up Tom Brady’s jersey for the 12th day the audience loved it.
I plan to go every year now if I can. Very uplifting and beautiful. Keep up the great work!

I just returned home from this mornings childrens' holiday concert and had to review while it is still fresh in my mind.
12 of us attended this concert.....3 children and 9 adults. This has become an annual event since 2003. Again this year, we have not been disappointed! The concert started with Christmas Canticles which is a collection of well known Christmas Carols played by the best professional orchestras in the world. Impeccable performance. Next was a 2 year old singing by a 2year old childerns chorus of 5-9 grade children...Impeccable!!! Next, myall time favorite: The Polar express with narrator/actor Jermiah Smith. This beautiful music with paintings by Chris Van Allsburg projected on a large screen over the stage drove me to tears in my eyes! Has the true meaning of "Believe". Concert condinued with an annual visit with Santa followed by an audience partiipation of well known Christmas Songs. The concert is only about 70 minutes for the young ones. There is never a dullll moment. Even if one doesn't like "classical" music, you have to be a Grinch not to love this concert. Ff there is nothing else you want to do this Christmas (or future Christmas's, DO NOT MISS THESE POPS CONCERTS!!!!!! You won't be disappointed. Start your own tradition!
