Address
Neighborhood: Beacon Hill
Visit this historic and ritzy Boston neighborhood to soak up its classic New England charm as you stroll down cobblestoned, gas-lamp lined streets. Bring your walking shoes, camera, and select a nice day to wander through the hilly neighborhood and check out its exclusive addresses. Louisburg Square, Mt. Vernon street, Chestnut street and the extremely narrow and widely photographed Acorn street make a nice walking path. Make sure to meander down Charles street to poke into boutiques and antique shops, cafes, and restaurants on this quaint shopping street. Don’t forget to catch a glimpse up close of the State House with its beautiful and iconic dome.

    Perfect spring day
No need to travel to DC to see cherry blossoms. Here you get all those+ tulips!! Sunny spring day. Parked in Tremont Commons lot. Maybe not best choice, as I had to wander north to find tulip gardens. We’ll worth the trip from RI.

    Beautiful Park
Historic Boston Commons. Beautiful park to take a stroll or just grab a bench and people watch. The gardens were beautiful especially early in Spring time. The weather was perfect for a stroll after catching a show in the theater district. Lots of people enjoying the day! They had the open market where people had tents and all kind of goods to sale.

A Beautiful, Dynamic Park Full of Gorgeous Trees, Flowers, Statues, and Swan Boats
We loved visiting the Boston Public Garden. We came in mid-April, and there were already trees bursting into bloom and tulips coming up through the ground. The park is beautifully landscaped with a pretty lake area, the famous swan boats, a gorgeous bridge, an imposing equestrian statue of George Washington, and the charming Make Way For Ducklings statues. The tall willow trees surrounding the lake make the area especially scenic. Note that the swan boats close at 4:00 p.m., so go early if you're interested in those. The park was clean and full of people out enjoying the first warm days of spring. This would be an excellent place for a picnic. My only suggestion would be to have a map on display to make things easy to find. After wandering around a bit, we asked some kind locals to point us toward the duckling statues which they did. If you want to get out and enjoy nature inside the city, this is the perfect place to do it.

    Beautiful walk even in July.
All the parks we walked through in Boston were nice, including this one. The iconic swan boats were here and several historical statues. I thought the grounds were kept beautifully for a town that was still recuperating from covid and loss of merchants and city dwellers. I always love a town with a college student population walking to class or studying somewhere and the area where we stayed had quite a few young people. It keep the vibe fresh!

    Wonderful
Such a wonderful place to visit. European like garden. A real treasure and gem of Boston. Don’t miss seeing this and the Commons where the new MLK statue is located. A must see for both. Beautifully manicured gardens. Not your typical public park. Don’t miss a ride in the swan boats.

Tour of Public Garden- a lovely morning!
We joined Bridget and (Annie I think) for a free walking tour of the public gardens. It was a great blend of history, botany, and art appreciation! It was well worth the time. We are so happy that the Friends of the Public Garden exist and share their time!

    A jewel of the city
Wonderful area for all to enjoy. Such a great park to soak up the history of this great city. Beautiful and clean. Well kept and plenty of shade and places to sit. Being a fan of "Make Way for Ducklings" I enjoyed the area that honored the classic book by Robert McCloskey.

    Simply stunning gardens
Take a walk around the gardens at any time of the day and they are always busy, people know a good thing when they see it! The gardens are very well maintained and we did sit for an hour one afternoon watching the gardeners trimming the ornamental hedges, they do a fantastic job. At the weekends you will see may brides and grooms having their wedding photographs taken here. Families take children for a ride on the swan lake which is very popular along with feeding the ducks and geese. There are plenty of seats/benches around the park in both the sun and shade.

    Beautiful!!!
Great time walking around this garden. My kids liked the duck statues, but there was a line. The pond is lovely and so are the trees around. Plenty of coffee options around the help make the walking enjoyable!

    BEAUTIFUL HEAVEN
Across the street from the Boston Common is the garden is one of the most beautiful and scenic with lush landscaping place. Originally the muddy salt flats of the Back Bay was gradually filled with excavation from Beacon Hill. The area between the Boston Common and Boston Public Garden was used as an unofficial dumping ground, due to being the lowest-lying portion of the Garden. The area (now known as Charles Street) was regraded with the excavation of the nearby Tremont Street Subway Adjacent to Charles Street is the landscaped Boston Public Garden (24 acres) with numerous paths, many seasoned flower beds, a number of fountains, statues, signature suspension bridge over the middle of the pond. One of the most famous sculptures is “Make Way for the Duckings” a bronze sculpture of Mrs. Mallard and her eight ducklings was installed near the corner of Beacon Street & Charles Street area. Mrs. Mallard’s baby Duckings are named “Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack, and Quack.” Little kids hug, kiss, climb on and feed the bronze ducks. The best time to visit the Public Garden is early morning when the birds are just beginning to start the day with their song and the joggers are out running and they dog walkers are strolling through the park. Sitting here in the glorious landscaping, sensing the coolness of the shady trees and experiencing peace all around I feel like I am in BEAUTIFUL HEAVEN … at the Boston Public Garden.

This was the first public botanical garden in America. The flora is attractive and it's a nice walk thru the Garden. Of course, they have Swan Boats! The boats take you on a pleasant ride around the lagoon.

It has great greenery, some animals (squirrels and ducks). Even in winter the trees were beautiful. There is a lake, and a lot of places to sit.

Visited the Boston Garden during spring. Since there are lots of trees and flora, you can see spring in full bloom here. It is very beautiful and charming. You can bring your family, or significant other or even come solo. There are walking paths and sometimes you see street vendors on the outskirts.

Taking a walk in the park, you'll come across the famous Swan Boats. These charming white swan-shaped boats gracefully sail across the calm pond, creating a beautiful scene that's a must-see for anyone visiting the garden!

A lovely space in central Boston. There is a gorgeous bronze statue called "Make Way for Ducklings", which is a must see for kids and adults.

The park/garden was beautiful as the we were there for the fall foliage part of our visit. Major disappointment the ponds were completely dry, assuming for some sort of maintenance? So not a lot of picture taking opportunities. Disappointed since we walked so far to get to it and didn’t know the ponds were dry.

Looking terrible at the moment. The pond is drained and muddy. There is hardly any autumn colour. Not worth visiting.

It is so pretty here! I came on a rainy day which was great as there were very few people. Came again on a sunny day, more people, but still a beautiful setting. Was so excited when I found the make way for ducklings statues. Definitely come and spend sometime admiring the space and it’s also great for people watching.
