About
At the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, you can be a part of the famous event that forever changed the course of American History! It’s more than a stroll through historic artifacts – it’s an adventure! Located on the Congress Street Bridge in Boston, Massachusetts, this floating museum is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. Live actors, high-tech, interactive exhibits, authentically restored tea ships and the stirring, multi-sensory documentary “Let it Begin Here,” are just a taste of what you’ll see, hear and feel. Meet the colonists, explore the ships and dump tea overboard just as the Sons of Liberty did on that fateful night of December 16, 1773. Stop in at Abigail’s Tea Room for teatime and visit the Gift Shop for special souvenirs. It’s educational, entertaining and enlightening — an experience not to be missed by adults and children of all ages. Your tour of the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum will last approximately one hour and will take you through a variety of displays that are interconnected. The tour is designed to give you the opportunity to participate, explore and learn about the people, events and consequences that led up to the American Revolution in the order in which they actually occurred more than 230 years ago.

Worth it - slightly pricey but great kick off to touring Boston
Jul 2021
Fun experience though rushed and not enough live actors. Seems to have been done with least folks and commercialized. BUT, worth it as it puts you in the mood to get started with touring Boston. Nice location and you feel re-living part of the history. Best for little kids!

Summer vacation.

This was an informative tour. I would say that it was a little pricey and they put a lot of people into each group that goes through. They let you recreate throwing tea into the harbor but with large groups you are lucky to have enough time to do it and get a picture. Also, they let you tour the ship that it occurred on but even that seemed rushed. The tour is not cheap and it would have been nice to spend a little more time being able to look and explore more

Fun and Historical

The ship is not the actual ship but is built in the same style. It is quite small and cramped. The crew does a great job a great job. The Tea room is a welcome addition in the very hot, humid weather.

Boston Tea Party
Good, informative tour. However I do not feel you have enough time to truly see the museum. You stay as a group, not self guided, and are rushed through. Perhaps making the tour a bit longer would allow one to see everything. I feel I missed out on a lot.

Fun “Tea Party”
The re-enactment of the Tea Party was fun. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They involved everyone in the reenactment in a fun way. We even got to “throw” tea overboard! Great way to experience some history.

Boston tea party - fun for all ages
Actors at the museum give the history of the Boston tea party a first person perspective that our school textbooks do not. The audience members are given roles with backstories too. The ship tour was fun for the kids & adults. There is a really well done movie at the end that tells the story of the start of the revolution.

Fun and moving experience
Jul 2021 • Friends
This was a wonderful experience. Not only did we learn a lot in a fun and interesting way, but the presentations were so well done that we were thoroughly entertained the entire 1.5 hours we were there. Would highly recommend this museum for all ages. Wish I had gone here in school, perhaps I would have had an easier time learning about US History!
