Wanted to be on the water today but didn’t have the time to go down to the Cape. This was a great afternoon, packed a lunch, walked around took in the sights. Very accessible and plenty of parking. Perfect for place to watch the planes...More

Relatively close to downtown Boston. Probably need a car to get here. It's a nice little relaxing castle made out of stone that has a nice view of the harbor.

Lovely place for walking or just sitting and gazing at the water. Had an open cafe and restrooms. Has plenty of parking. One can really get in a great walk if one walks the circumference!

Really enjoyed my visit, during the early fall months. Many things to see for mature/interested visitor, little or no cost. Lovely walk on the grounds, along the bay shoreline, great plane-watching spot... Wouldn;t say it's a good place to entertain kids for very long. Could...More

Gets really crowded in summer on weekends. Can’t even park after 9 or 10 am. It’s a lot of fun watching planes fly into Logan. Great place to walk, walk a stroller or jog. Great playground for kids to use also. I’ve never been because...More

A short drive from Downtown Boston. You may park on the street without any problem and walk along the beach. The views are fantastic-sunrise and sunset alike-and it makes you feel right in the heart of the city, yet so distant. Don;t forget to pick...More

Lots of parking spaces, not a very pretty area. Surrounded by south Boston's 3-deckers not-so-pretty family rentals. Just a convenient place for a health-walk

Although parking can be crowded, you can always get a spot. People are coming and going at all times. There are so many things to see and do. Not to mention eating at Sullivan’s - their hot dogs are well know. Activities include: watching airplanes...More

Made the trip out there on a Saturday morning from Brighton and it only took 30 minutes. The view of the Boston Harbor was really nice. This was our first time to Castle Island and we enjoyed the loop. Lots of dogs there too. Parking...More

We enjoyed a few hours going for a walk and sitting in the park, The fort was closed, but it was still interesting to walk around it. Great place to spend some time

It's always open to walk there. The restaurant (Sullivan's) is seasonal, usually closed December to March or so. Sometimes they lock the close in parking gate at night, but there's plenty of places to park nearby.

No guided tours, but you can self-guide a tour of the fort on most weekends, and the other walking trails are open from very early each day to very late

I am not sure but a cab ride one way would be about 15-18 dollars, Uber would be about 12. Front desk could help you arrange it Good luck and enjoy, Stephen
