- bakerm0m123Holly Springs, North Carolina20 contributionsUnique place!!We love this place. The milkshakes are amazing and the animals are fun to feed. We got two huge heads of lettuce for $5 and the cows and goats were so excited!! The market is very interesting. There are fruits I had never seen before! Worth the visitVisited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 27, 2023
- 2dogladyTennessee996 contributionsMore Than I ExpectedI was not sure what the hype was about this place but we stopped on our way out of Everglades. We did try a milkshake and it was very good. Since we were traveling, we did not buy the fruit. I had not read the reviews here so I was surprised to see all the birds and animals here. Interesting combination with a fruit stand! This is a good stop for some fun photos for sure!Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 5, 2023
- Bamabelle2023Washington DC, District of Columbia137 contributionsPretty good smoothies but a bit overpricedThis was a pretty good place to stop before checking into our hotel at homestead. We got a few smoothies which we thought were a bit overpriced but were pretty good. They did have a lot of animals that our 10 year old kid enjoyed looking at. All in all, even though it’s a bit overpriced, it is still one of the only places to grab a smoothie in the area.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 25, 2023
- blessedsights2cRidgeway, Wisconsin36 contributionsMust stop placeThis stand has an excellent selection of tropical fruit! Robert helped us pick out ripe fruit and even cut them up for us. You can tell he really enjoys fruit and helping people. We tried one of everything that was ripe. They also sell milk shakes with the tropical fruit. We picked three to put in ours, yummy! A must stop place to try a variety of fruit!Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 31, 2023

Petting zoo, beautiful birds, shakes, fabulous fruit. Robert was so knowledgeable and gracious! Spend a few minutes or half the day but please include this along your way!Visited January 2024Traveled with friendsWritten January 8, 2024
- coteb39Nashua, New Hampshire142 contributionsDefinitely a must see stop.We were listening to a road trip app and he suggested checking out Robert is Here. The fruits and vegetables were amazing. So many local products. The smoothies! The animals out back! Goats, cows, chickens, roosters, iguanas, and the turtles!! so glad we stopped on our way to Miami from the Keys. It was started by Robert when he was a boy (selling cucumbers by the side of the road) - he's in his 80's now.Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 24, 2024
- Karl TSun City, Arizona188 contributionsAn absolute must stop! This was such a joy. The produce looks so good and there is even a makeshift zoo in the back with tons of different animals cohabitating. I wished I lived in the area so I could enjoy going there to get fresh fruit and other produce. We got a delicious coconut banana smoothie on our way out. What a great stop!Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 9, 2024
- RustyRockledge, Florida234 contributionsA Must Stop! This is a must stop for anyone coming or going to the Keys. Just a few minutes west of US1, they have lots of exotic fruits, other local goods, animals to see, and much more. The highlight is their amazing fresh fruit smoothies and milkshakes.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten February 14, 2024
- ghw1968Ocean City, New Jersey177 contributionsAmazing! A must visit!!!Stopped here on our way from Miami to Key West. Immediately greeted by a man who turned out to be “the Robert”! He cut up our fruit and recommended his favorite smoothie which was promptly delivered to us as we were checking out (banana, soparilla and toasted coconut). This is a cool place to meander about. Lots of cool food options and fresh flowers. There are animals to feed out back (ostrich, tortoise, goat, cow, salamanders and I don’t even know). There’s a Mexican food truck serving up delicious quesadillas. AND THE GUACAMOLE WAS THE INCREDIBLE!!Visited February 2024Traveled with friendsWritten February 24, 2024
- J JFort Lauderdale, Florida326 contributionsDon’t go out of your way. Can’t believe I’ve never written a review for Robert is here but we have been going for decades. It has grown in popularity for sure since online reviews became a thing…. Understanding that it can be very crowded for what it is. A small outside (but covered) fruit stand / market and a smoothie shop. Also, BBQ now. There is also a “zoo” type area in the back with loads of animals. Be aware that the line sometimes for the smoothies gets very very long and it can be very hot. Personally, never bought one. We come here to feed and pet the animals because it’s free. They have all sorts of animals penned up together, a bird “aviary” and chickens and roosters free ranging all over the place as can be seen else where in Miami and the keys. The place is in the middle of all our farm lands in the south and is just fun to drive around and see it all. Lots of nursery’s in the area to buy tropical plants too. Wouldn’t recommend driving all the way here if it’s out of your way but it’s a quirky stop nonetheless.Visited March 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 5, 2024

nice products and fresh ingredients at very high prices. You would expect some being locally produced being a bit cheaper that anywhere else. Definately not worth driving all the way there..Smoothies and Shakes are enriched with sugar too..

We stopped by Robert is Here because we had heard multiple people talking about how incredible it was. They definitely had some unique stuff and we did NOT get a shake (the line was super long) so I cannot judge there but to me it just seemed like a large normal produce stand.
We did meet Robert and he was very kind. He let us try the miracle fruit which was pretty cool. I can also see where it would be a good stop if you have kids because of all the space to play out back and all the animals you can see.

This roadside “fruit stand” was recommended on one of the travel blogs that I follow so I stopped in to try it. I like the basics so tried a strawberry milkshake and was not disappointed. Thick and creamy with fresh fruit. For those on the more daring side there were several options that were available. My travel partner on this day had a mango, pineapple, dragon fruit smoothie which she absolutely loved. You could also buy fresh exotic fruits and veggies and they had a petting zoo. Super fast and friendly service. One of those places you might drive right by and miss if you weren’t looking for it. So good!!!

Are you ready for natural, organic and edible delights? Drive up and order fresh produce, milkshakes, salsa, guacamole, key lime pie and Cuban sandwiches. Do not leave until you try a milkshake or smoothie. Pumpkin milkshakes are one flavor for fall and it tastes like liquid pumpkin pie. There is a large outdoor picnic area with tropical birds, tractors and an airplane. Check out the large blue martin birdhouse and meet Robert. Robert will explain what the produce is and how to prepare it. Robert gives great suggestions of which fruits to mix in your milkshake. Every visitor learns about fruits and vegetables in season plus how to enjoy farm raised produce at home. Robert is here is a great picnic spot and fun for all ages. There are many photo opportunities so bring your camera. Masks are required and hand sanitizer is provided.

Well, let’s be honest it’s a tourist trap that is highly over priced. Yes, the things we read and all the hype we had to stop and get a milkshake. At 8$ I can guarantee you buy a 1/2 gallon of vanilla and you own fruit and it’ll be better. I had a blackberry and I kept trying to taste the flavor, just wasn’t there. Husband had strawberry in strawberry season and and it was better then mine but still lacking. Strawberries they were selling were the exact same I could buy in our local Publix. Very disappointed. I went and definitely wouldn’t go back. I’d like to really know if they use real fruit or flavoring. Again it’s 8$ a shake.

Our hotel told us about the fruit smoothies so we wandered over there.
When we pulled in I saw some animal cages and went straight to them.
Two large aviaries with cockatoos, amazons, macaws, African greys, cockatiels and turtles.
They all looked like they were in good health.
There’s also a large exhibit with rheas, an emu, a ton of tortoises, goats, and more. All of these animals appeared to be healthy as well.
An employee appeared to be stationed out between the enclosures hopefully to keep people from messing with the animals.
The fruit stand seemed to have a few locals shopping for fresh fruit.
Large selection of jarred fruit and jams. I didn’t want to spend $10 on a smoothie either but we did buy some fruit to help support the animals out back ;)

Stop here! I hate tourist traps, but this place is the real deal. So much food, with fruit and treats that most of us have never seen before. There was a persimmon that produces a filling that tastes like chocolate pudding. We bought it, and after it had ripened it was so good and unique. The avocados are the size of a baby's head. Buy a papaya or mango and they will peel and slice it for you right there. The fruit smoothies and milkshakes are so good, and large enough to share. The fruit variety is HUGE, and it's all fresh and locally grown. And at Robert is Here, Robert WAS there. Such a nice person. This place is so worth the stop and is a big chunk of south Florida in one stop.

I wish there were a way to give 4.5, or that we could do this out of 10 instead of 5. In the debate between Robert Is Here and Knaus Berry Farm, there is no competition from my family's perspective. Robert Is Here is flatly better.
The variety of produce here is excellent. You won't find much in the way of baked goods though.
It's the shakes and smoothies that make the difference. The shakes are milk and fruit. That's it. You pick up to three fruits, with more unique fruits costing a bit more. But even so, I was able to get a tamarind, key lime, and blackberry shake for the basic price, and it was fantastic. That single shake was a filling, satisfying, nutritious breakfast for someone who is a big eater.
The one knock we had was that they were training new folks, and they did not clearly identify which shake was which. The manager, to her credit, was unhappy with her employees and personally sorted out the situation.

Robert is here was definitely interesting. I would call them and EXOTIC fruit stand. If you are looking for a place to pick up some good quality strawberries or pears or a regular “supermarket” fruit this is probably not the best option as they seemed to be on the expensive side. If you want exotic fruit though this is the place for you. I consider myself a foodie and they had probably 20 different fruits I had never heard of. As a side business they offer great milkshakes and smoothies that are worth the trip as much as the fruit. They also have a petting zoo if you want to bring your kids.

As we traveled from Everglades National Park to Homestead, we came to an intersection of 2 country roads that was packed with cars at a farm stand, so we had to stop and check it out. Robert is Here is a huge farm stand with a vast selection of fresh produce and an equally vast selection of honey, jams, pickles, flowers, and other farm treats. I sampled a dozen different kinds of honey - yum! Much of the produce was local, but the prices were surprisingly high. Behind the farm stand is a shaded picnic area with some habitats for parrots and other birds. The farm stand also has a to-go counter where you can order smoothies, sandwiches, and light bites. I'm glad I stopped once, but the high prices might dissuade me from visiting again.
