One would imagine you only come to Terlingua to visit Big Bend. The former minerstown has been deserted after 1940's but is kind of building up again to serve the tourists. Lots of old buildings and remains are still there and it gives it character....More

Except for the modern vehicles, you might think you are in an old south desert town. There is a Mexican style cemetery, a restaurant and a unique store. There are some apparent ruins as well and an old church.

Small town outside Big Bend National Park. Not much to do or see and looks desolate and poor. There are a few good places to eat.

I've been twice now, and we absolutely love visiting Terlingua. Its like no other place on earth. Very cool town, with surprisingly delicious food and fun people.

Terlingua Ghost Town is a Photographers Dream, from the pioneer cemetery to the church and other distinct building ruins, this is a sweet place to visit.

Well worth a detour; did not stop long - cemetary well worth a visit (historic marker), giving an insight into a bustling past that is no longer.
