Bayfield has without a doubt more active commercial fish tugs than anywhere else on the Great Lakes. This museum is about there heritage and is very well done!

Part of the Bayfield experience. Enjoyed the exhibit about Lt. Henry Bayfield, the town's namesake and how Bayfield came to be. The volunteer was great and enjoyed answering questions. The exhibit is free but runs on donations. We spent a little more than an hour.

More simple collection than a museum but free and done/presented with some passion. Friendly staff. Set up inside a building/space dominantly used to store boats. Interesting enough to check it out.

This was a great stop as we came back into town from a long walk on the Brownstone Trail. This is a small yet very interesting and informative museum.

It is a piece of local heritage. The volunteers that run it are older locals and are very knowledgeable. They have great stories to tell about what is found in the museum. At the end of the season the artifacts are moved, because the building...More
