This was just up the road so we had to stop. It was a neat little place with a lot of great history in fisheries and fish in Wisconsin. Be sure to go out behind the building to the viewing ponds where you have the...More

After enjoying a walk on the trail outside the hatchery, we visited with a young man who worked there and was very helpful and informative. He gave us our own private tour of the hatchery. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions....More

I love going there, and have attended many events there. great for families, and kids. It is worth the stop on the way in, or out of bayfield.

We stopped in to this hatchery on our way home from vacation. It was very educational in the visitor center and a nice quick little stop for the entire family to enjoy

Trail was less than interesting. The end at the dam was pretty, but not enough to justify the boring trail. Perhaps if you hit it right to see the steelhead run...the visitors center was enjoyable, 10 year old son rates the center "spectacular". Wouldn't go...More

Worth a 20 minute stop. A very small aquarium with boring fish (lake stock), but very nicely laid out exhibits describing what the state fish hatchery does. We learned several interesting tidbits. No humans in the visitor center to answer questions and it is very...More
