A person can see the whole island from up here. There are plaques with a history of the liberation from WW2 to read as well. We enjoyed coming up here and seeing everything.

The view allows you to see all of Saipan and the neighboring island of Tinian. On very clear days you even can see Rota and Annatahan. The history is also very interesting

It's a place where you can see the whole island in 360 degrees. It's awesome how they preserve such places where people can look back and reminisce how it was more than 50 years ago. It is cooler when you are at the top and it is the tallest mountain in the island. You might need 4x4's to get there because the road going up is not yet paved. It's the best place to your quiet times.

If you are careful you van drive all the way up. There is a statue of Jesus at the top platform. Also signal towers are there.

You can see all of the island there.

Intersting drive getting to top of Mt. Tapochao. Once there, beautiful 360-view of all of Saipan and Tinian. Nice place for peace and relaxation. Amazing views of varying ocean hues from aquamarine to navy blue!

Made it to the top in the Yaris! Road can be steep and a little rocky but worth the climb.
Amazing to see Saipan from this view.

Mt. Tapochao is a place that you should visit at least once when you're in Saipan. It's the highest point on Saipan and the view does not disappoint. For a taste.of what the island's Catholic faithful do every year, consider hiking there from the foot of the mountain.

Made a couple trips to Mt. Tapochao during our stay. One was a nice clear day and we were able to see most of the island. There are informative boards talking about the WWII Battle for the island with references to what you are seeing from the top of the island. This was interesting and seeing the perspective the Japanese and American soldiers had of these areas 74 years ago.

The drive the top is a bit rough. We made it a couple times in a Toyota Corolla, but you have to zig and zag around the large dips in the gravel road. I would suggest something with more ground clearance if you have that option.

The road to the top is not paved, but is in fair shape; we did it in a toyota corolla without any problems. You can see the whole island from the viewpoint. There are some interpretative signs discussing the stages of the battle for Saipan

I actually just stumbled up to Mt. Tapochao while driving around the island...what a pleasant surprise! Definitely worth the drive - I made it up in a small sedan (it was a bumpy ride, but it's possible!) Lots of WW2 History to read about up there as well.
