InJuly there is often a fog over the bridge so be warned you cant always see it all! There are some informative and interesting information displays to look at even then which is excellent. We also saw a humming bird.

There is a great bike path just off the main road that had it's own traffic signals and marked lanes. It couldn't have been a nicer ride through to get out to the bridge. There were many people out riding, walking and jogging the morning...More

This beach front walk has great vantage points to take photos of the bridge. There is a small beach and a marina, as well as a parking lot.

Walking to GG Bridge is one of the most incredible experiences to have when visiting San Francisco. A nice walking tour all around the coast

A bit scruffy and unkempt - litter on the beach and murky, dirty water. Not very appealing but the views are great.

just walk and enjoy. You can go by car close to the end , but better to discover slowly and under the fresh wind !

Exploring a city is the walking. It is a long promenade but let's go to see the bridge from different perspective. Have water with you and meal if you want!!!

Don't miss this. Relax, brings some snacks and company you enjoy and have a lazy time on the Promenade almost any time of day.

This is the place to get the iconic photos. Easy access. Beautiful views. Bring a lunch and sit back while you watch the ferries and the boats roll by.

We were taken here by our Tour Company on our way back into the City to get close up photos of this beautiful bridge and we were not disappointed.

Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful
backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to
the Marina. Originally the location for the
Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose
remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much
of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a
world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a
jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.

There are a couple of parking lots in different areas along the bay, but I know for sure there is one where the parking is free. It isn't very big, so it fills up quickly, but it is free. It is right by Crissy Field and... More
