The Japanese Tea Garden highlights the art of working with nature and refining it to look as aesthetically stunning as it can. With imported plants, tale-like bridges, a peaceful stream with colorful fish, and architectural pastiches, this garden is sure to transport visitors to the...More

This is a lovely place to venture around and take photos. It’s very peaceful and easy going- it doesn’t take long to walk around the lovely gardens.

We realy enjoyed these gorgeous gardens! Looking at the coy pond, admiring the pagodas, walking across the bridge and appreciating all the beauty of the vegetation is well worth the price of admission. Let yourself feel the peacefulness of the moment!

A little piece or serenity in a big city. The Japanese Tea Garden is spectacular. The trees, the flowers all amazing. The tea house is good offering small meals and few different teas.

Very expensive entrance to what you got. The park is small but nice. Long queue to the little restaurant. I'm glad we were there, but had expected so much more.

We walked around the garden and saw it in about 1 hour. The entry fee wasn't too high. Seems like it was $10 per person. Everything is beautifully manicured. There are some plaques that talk about the history, which was surprisingly interesting. Apparently it began...More

A pleasant but small Japanese Garden in Golden Gate Park. Crowds can be a problem. Seattle's garden is much nicer.

Trip Advisor has the wrong address and map shown on here. The Japanese Tea Garden is definitely located in Golden Gate Park, right next to the De Young Museum. The full address is 75 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr, San Francisco... More
