We got a morning bus from downtown which dropped us off around the corner from the Painted Ladies. We couldn’t find them at first as they really do not stand out from the rest of the houses. We walked up to the park opposite for a better view if the houses and that’s when we realised that the real attraction is the backdrop view you get from there of the cuty skyline. We were told afterwards that the colour of the houses look better in the evening sun.

I stopped by Almo Park via the hop-on/hop-off bus to see the Painted Ladies. Short walk from the stop and it was easy to find the side of the park where you can see them. After taking the pictures I came to take, I looked around and realized that Alamo Park is actually quite beautiful. Gorgeous views of the whole city and filled with beautiful and fragrant trees and flowers. It would be the perfect spot for a picnic, to read a book or simply rest for 30 minutes during your site seeing. There were bathrooms but were disgusting, so I didn't use them, since I didn't "really have to go".

We visited the Painted Ladies on a Monday morning and found it to be a great time to stop by. It was quiet and there was plenty of space to take photos. There is also a nice playground nearby for children of different ages.
