This is a nice theater in a good location of San Francisco. My only issue is the seats could definitely use revamping. For the price you pay, I think it's time that theater seats start to match movie theater seats at least. Kudos on the...More

We sat in the mezzanine left at this theatre recently for a production of Harold Pinter’s “The Birthday Party.” Though the cast was excellent, the seating proved to be extremely uncomfortable. Though short, I found that my knees were almost knocking the back of the...More

We went for the 'Janis' show as part of our Summer of Love day trip...which is well worth seeing. But ACT has a long delivered some of the best theatre SF has to offer and any show you can see here is highly recommended!

As a child of the sixties, the premise here was fun....and there were lots of other folks in my age cohort. Fun to take my daughter. HOWEVER the sound design was awful. It was totally over amped. The back up singers were great, especially the...More

An old fashioned theater with a very good repertory company. They've performed many excellent shows over the years. Tickets have reasonable prices. Seat at the top of the balcony are not comfortable.

The theater is lovely in an old world, New York style way. We were able to have a drink before hand, and truly enjoyed the very intense, technical play, Needles and Opium. The staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed a block away at the...More
