If you really love to shop, you need more than one day. Lots of specialty and high end brands are here. The stores will give visitors discounts passes. I received 20% off everything at Macys.

Good variety of shops most a high prices. Sat in the square and soaked up the sun as not many places in the city centre to do this. All walks of life can be seen in and around the area.

Good spot to relax to people watch after walking around city and shopping. There are plenty of places to sit. They have a little kiosk for food and drinks and bike rental area also.

All of the American coffee shops are not coffee made “premiumly” as it may say in the window. Half of these places don’t even know how to use their machines properly. I come from a coffee industry background.

Sfo hotels are not cheap unless you stay far out. Union square is a good choice and convenience . They few boutique and smaller hotel .. try Nikko or Parc55.
