This is the main VC in the park and were surprised it didn’t have more information. It is a big hiking and outdoor park so maybe I was just expecting too much. The film information was good but the projection system does not produce vibrant...More

The Visitor Center is the place for Newcombers and repeaters alike to learn of the Incredible interesting history of this hugely interesting place. Then take the Island Explorer free buses to start your exploring. From mansions to ocean cliffs to mountains or bike trails.

Found a spot to park right away. Place was clean and had plenty of staff around to answer questions! Interactive displays as well. Bathrooms clean! 52 steps to top gets you ready for the trails!

Lots of steps up to a small visitor center where you buy your park pass, speak to rangers, pick up maps and detailed hiking information. Small gift shops and rest rooms. This is a hub for the Island Explorer bus.

Nice place to get started on your visit Acadia. It is smaller, but has enough info to get your trip going. The gift shop is on the smaller side, the one at Jordan pond is much larger. If you're looking for something specific to a...More
