We went to dole plantation as part of a tour and were told that the highlight was their superb pineapple icecream. Very disappointed as two huge lines queuing and we had to back on our bus in 25 minutes do missed out. Dole should have...More

It was interesting see the growing process for Pineapple and many other items that need the rich Hawaiian soil. I thought the train ride was reasonably priced but the items in the visitor center were over priced and they were taking advantage of the tourist...More

We stopped here on our way down from the North Shore. We got there just after it opened at 9.30 but it was already crowded. It’s very touristy and we were disappointed with the lack of fresh fruit! You could buy fresh sliced pineapple but...More

What is available at the Dole "Plantation". For $8 you can walk through a 3 acre maze. For $11 you can take a 15 minute mini train ride through some sample "fields". You get to see a few hundred plants and faded plywood cut-outs depicting...More

Dole whip is tasty. The cute pineapple shaped stand is out of commission so you stand in a long line in the crowded short order food area. The variety of gift item is impressive. The store is very large. I bought a little quilted bag...More

Dole Whip treat is great, souvenir shop is large with high prices, train tour is not good. The Dole Whip is really good and there was a long line. The shop had a large variety of goods for sale; clothing, toys, souvenirs, and food. The...More

We stopped here today for the tour. The train tour is about 22 minutes. You ride in a little train around the plantation and listen to an audio tour. To say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement. You drove through fields of pineapple and...More

If you have grade school kids the Dole Plantation is a great stop. Our 7 year old loved the train ride and the maze (which was actually much larger and more difficult than I expected it to be!) The grounds and gardens are quite pretty...More

We loved the Pineapple Dole Whip at the plantation and returned three times during our visit to Hawai’i to indulge in this delicious treat. When in Hawai’i, this is a must visit place. Your taste buds will thank you!

Came to this attraction thinking that I'd get to see "everything you'd want to know about growing, processing, and manufacturing pineapple". Instead I was so disappointed to find out it's just a tourist trap with lots of crap to sell you. Where's at least an...More

Hi. Their website says open daily 9.30am to 5.30pm except on Christmas Day. You might want to email and double check. Really worth going - enjoy.

There is Wi-Fi there but be careful as there are some sketchy networks. I recommend only using the one they have listed on their brochure that they give out. No sure of the transportation, but of luck.
