An amazing stretch of prestine beach and the water is perfect. Was there with kids ages 6 and 10 and the water is great for swimming, not too rough and very mild waves. Would definitely go back.

Oddly enough this beach which is a beautiful one, is not crowded. The waters are pristine and the the sand fine. Gorgeous and calm. Love this beach.

We have visited many beaches on O'ahu and this is be our favorite. The sand is so fine and smooth. The ocean is great for swimming. Went on 4th of July and they had some great fireworks.

This is a very nice beach on the not so busy side of the island. Parts of the beach have good body surfing waves for the old kids and on the southern end is better for the little ones. Parking can be hard to find...More

Until about 8 years ago, there was hardly any tourist found in this 3-mile stretch of beautiful white sand beach named Kailua Beach, and the Kailua Town itself was a quiet "Small Town USA". Now the tourists have "discovered" it and the town itself is...More

Great area to go swim or sunbathe. Large sandy beach area close to parking. Saw a few people kayaking and kite-surfing.

This is our favorite beach on all of Oahu. We might be biased because we stayed in Kailua but we just kept coming back to this beach. Nothing in Waikiki can even compare. The sand is so soft and the ocean is calm enough to...More

This was a nice drive from Waikiki. Great beach with super soft sand and not real crowded. Nice place to wash off and a great park near to have lunch.

First, my WARNING for tourists: do not try and go to this beach on weekends. Those are the times when locals get off work and camp at the park. They take all the parking and crowd the beach with family activities and cook outs. So,...More

Yes you ‘can’ do all of the above. But the only surfing to be done is off of flat island 1/4 mile off of the beach. Snorkeling is better at other beaches, sharks cove and electric beach are a couple good ones. Swimming is... More
