Loved soaking up the sun on the famous Waimea Beach. Be careful here in the winter, as the waves can break on the shore and put kids and inexperienced swimmers at risk of being tossed into the sand. Otherwise a lovely beach.

Big waves and nice relaxed atmosphere, sit on the beach make sure to bring food and drinks as its hard to get anything there, also the bathrooms are dirty but fine.

Beautiful views and beach on the North Shore. Best sand in Oahu! Awesome views of the lighthouse on the main road as well. Good for swimming and surfing and just hanging out at the beach! Parking available and restrooms!

We stopped here for a potential swim. It was not a swimming beach, only surfing. The lifeguard was constantly on the megaphone telling beachgoers to not swim, water is deadly. We moved on

Beautiful beach! We did not have much time during our tour to stop there but it was beautiful. If we had more time, we will go back and spend more time there.

Went for a beach day, husband surfs. Beautiful day, however the sets kept getting bigger so wasn’t a place for kids. When I went to get in, must admit the waves were intimidating - but beautiful.

I have visited quite a few more beautiful beaches than Waimea Bay on Oahu. Nevertheless, we never saw the high waves that this beach is famous for...but in my opinion, unless the surf is really up, there are many better options to beach on the...More

There are just so many accessible beaches but Waimea Bay is one of the most beautiful (and therefore one of the busiest so get there early). Don’t miss a trip to this beach

Not a good snorkeling beach. The waves pick up in November. Shark Cove is good for snorkeling.
