I've been to Oahu several times over the years, but I've never gone out of my way to look for turtles, until this time because my kids wanted to see them. I did research on the web, and Laniakea Beach was frequently mentioned as the...More

We stopped here four times. We passed by here several times so we stopped. Finally saw a turtle in the beach, our third try. And a few in the surf. Watched a guy recuse a blowfish from a hike. We never did anything but walk...More

Parking is a challenge. I manage to back into a spot. My primary purpose for this visit was to see green turtles. Walk on paved portion till right end of beach. This area seems more accessible for the few turtles that do come up to...More

If you've heard of the Bonzai Pipeline, this is where it calls home. Actually just a little farther north but the site didn't recognize it. This beach can be very crowded but as I said, just go a bit farther up the road and you...More

You can see green turtles at the beach. Beach itself isn’t very great but it gets crowded because of turtles. Parking is challenging sometimes.

A great place to see sea turtles on the beach. We were fortunate to get to see two make their way out of the water. Parking is challenging. Find a spot along the road, but be careful not to park in a no parking zone.

Look, don't get me wrong: turtles are cool, and that's the only reason why we went there, in the first place, but if I am to rate the beach as a BEACH, it's pretty bad: the sand is large-grain and deep, the beachfront is pretty...More

This beach is dreamy, the colour of the water, sand and the islands in the distance! A piece of paradise!

After reading the reviews I was hoping this beach would be covered with turtles. Unfortunately after two trips to this beach, no turtles came to the beach. One day we saw one bopping his head around in the water on the beach, and on the...More

we had to visit there 5-6 times on this trip but we finally saw one of the gentle giants. Such beautiful, peaceful creatures. It was worth visiting the beach. You have to go when it's sunny and the waves aren't too rough.

I'd also rent a car for the day. See the turtles and then run over to one of the waterfall ponds.

I have been here a few times mostly in feb. There is a break for the waves quite a way out. I know people swim at the beach near were the turtles are. Have fun Joe
