I saw four honus (green sea turtles) resting on this beach. They were surrounded by ropes so people wouldn't get too close. Unfortunately, one person walked over the rope right up to one of the turtles before others yelled at them. The volunteer had not been paying attention. Even after the volunteer seemed to notice, they didn't say anything. Pro: green sea turtles Cons: crowded, inattentive volunteer, difficult to find parking

Saw multiple turtles, so that made it worth the trip alone! Turtle on beach with the human guardian overseeing, plus multiple (8-10 at least in one spot alone) swimming within 6 ft of people in fairly shallow water. Beach is nice, sand does get very hot! Shoreline is rocky and irregular, making it easy to trip and fall even in the knee-deep water. Waves were strong and hard to battle, would not have wanted to go out more than about 15 ft.

Went early morning to get a car park, hit one easily. Parking is across a busy road, it is limited however there is a crossing. To get to beach you stumble over tree roots and rocks. There is a small part of Beach to access water. On our day the visibility was 2 arm lengths so hard to see when snorkelling, though a few fish to see. Water is at least warm. Was snorkelling for about an hour and then decided to leave as there was no turtles, however they the. Showed up in the shallow water by the rocks - you can not walk in rocks as covered in green slime. It was great to see them playing however hard to see in the murky water. Discovered better places to see the turtles. Note there are no bathroom or change facilities here.

I went last Nov and didn't see any turtles. So, I went again this trip twice. The first time I saw 1 and was so excited. The second time a few days later I saw 1, then 2 ended up seeing 6!! You park across the street from the small beach. Head to the right down by the trees there is a path to get down to the beach where you'll see the turtle. At first, I thought they were large rocks. It was amazing.

I believe this beach is commonly referred to as Turtle Beach, and it lived up to it's name. We were here as a stop on our Circle Island Tour. After lunch, we had a chance to cool off and hopefully see some turtles. We were fortunate enough to see a few of the huge turtles while we were there. They move quite slowly and stop often to eat so we were able to watch from a distance as we would see their heads poke out of the water and go back under.

We knew from a previous visit that there are turtles that come up on the beach here every day! They normally come around noon-ish and then stay until after sunset. There is an organization there that monitors the turtles that come up. They are able to identify them and keep everyone a safe distance. The beach is large with plenty of space to spread out and perfect to watch the sunset. There are also quite a few people surfing here as well. If you want a sure fire way to see turtles, this is your spot!
