We booked through Hotel Wailea and enjoyed the experience. We learned about Hawaiian culture and had a great encounter with a turtle. We also tried looking for whales, which was less successful. If you really want to see whales, I'd recommend a different trip... you just can't cover the distance needed in a canoe. BUT... if we'd seen one it would have been amazing I think! We got some exercise and got out on the water... I'd strongly recommend an earlier AM turtle trip (we went at 9)

Kevin was a great teacher in many ways. He got us all paddling and educated us along the way about Hawaiian culture and history. In a very short time, he guided us to some great turtle watching. I wish we had discovered him sooner in our trip as we would have wanted to do more. Next time!

We booked this through the Hotel Wailea. It was a great experience. Kevin gave a quick history of the culture of the native Hawaiian peoples. He taught us some Hawaiian words and chants. He took lots of pictures and sent them to us. We saw several sea turtles. I would highly recommend this outfit for an outrigger experience with a Hawaiian history lesson included!

Had a fun, fun hour of paddling and seeing several sea turtles. Kevin was an excellent host, first explaining how Polynesian cultures were able to sail thousands of miles, using the sun, moon, and stars. Next the paddling. Anyone from youngsters to the elderly (I'm 68) can handle to task. After we returned to shore, Kevin taught us about the Hawaiian language and culture. Very interesting and well done. I can say nothing negative about my experience.

Kevin really offers more than some time in a canoe. He shares history and knowledge and makes sure he answers everyone's questions.

Wonderful experience with Neiko as our guide. We were able to paddle to a mama whale and her calf and hang out with them for about 45 minutes. Neiko positioned us for great viewing of the whales while sharing a lot of Hawaiian knowledge such as Hawaiian alphabet. Had a great/unique experience.

Kevin Hoke is quite the host! We saw so many whales on our trip to the islands. I asked my wife what more could we ask for; her response was "I wish we could hear them". I called Kevin and he told me about his equipment that made this possible. We canoed out in the calm waters and just sat and listened. It sounded as if the whales were right below us. It is an awesome experience. Thanks to Billy and Locus on the beach and a special thanks to Kevin for sharing his Hawaiian culture with us. We loved it!!

What a wonderful way to enjoy the morning, we really enjoyed this experience! It is really beyond canoeing. Through Kevin we learned about Hawaii and its native people and the respect for nature. We are planning about doing it again when we come back with pur daughter. If you go to Wailea beach stop by and go for a ride!

Our canoe trip with Kevin and Kealoha was great. We really loved the stories and chants, and very much appreciated their confidence and experience. We saw a few turtles and fantastic views of places such as Molokini, Molokai, and Haleakala in the early morning, on calm waters. Learning to paddle together let us add ourselves to the experience in a special way. Thank you so much!
