Most of As I expected the shelling on Maui beaches is pretty poor- steep shores with high energy shorelines tend to result in broken shells. However, Baldwin beach is an exception. There is a wrack line dominated by broken coral but with shells throughout. I...More

Although we made only a short stop we could enjoy the beautiful beach. We had optimal swimming conditiones. The beach is equipped with bathrooms and pciknick area. Can't remember, if there have been food stores or if they only were closed.

Baldwin Beach is all aloha. No matter the time of day, it is never crowded... Even when there are a lot of people. Clean... Beautiful... Peaceful... Aina. My soul is at peace there. Dogs run and splash in the water... You might even catch a...More

Baldwin beach is a beautiful beach that is never crowded, possibly due to it's sheer size. Stunning photo opportunities and tanning, picnic lunch or dinner, but not always the best for swimming. Stay safe ☺.

This beach is located Kahului side Paia. Large crescent beach with plenty of parking, it is lifeguarded and has restroom facilities. In addition, there is a large park area between the highway and parking lot. Good for swimmers, snorkels and surfers.

Very pretty beach to spend some time. As I am not a lay on the beach person, I found the Baby Beach part enjoyable because of it's protected pool. There is a line of rocks that protect it from the waves, and is deep enough...More

A very long beautiful beach with gorgeous green water. The park has restrooms and lifeguards. There are trees that provide some filtered sun which is nice on a hot day. We saw some turtles playing or feeding in the waves.

Baldwin Beach Park seems to have two identities, depending on whose recommendations you take. The Big Beach is very nice, with ample parking and beach patrol. The Baby Beach can be reached via neighborhood streets. It is a bit secluded, with a line of jetty...More

I can't comment on buses to the beach because they are quite limited so we've never used them. You may want to consider a car rental since you can drive to several stunning beaches in only a few minutes from the airport... More
