Baldwin Beach Park seems to have two identities, depending on whose recommendations you take. The Big Beach is very nice, with ample parking and beach patrol. The Baby Beach can be reached via neighborhood streets. It is a bit secluded, with a line of jetty...More

Well-managed, lots of parking, watch out for the rips but there’s a lifeguard and lots of company. Good people-watching too. Towards sunset the drummers come out for your daily dose of Dionysian hippie fun.

Very nice place close to the airport, 10-15 minute’s drive, there is a lot of parking available, the beach is pretty big, clean and there is a lot of surf, sometimes is hard to swim. There is a close area where a lot of locals...More

Love this beach, especially for long beach walks. Friendly vibes. Lots of shady spots as well if you want a break from the sun.

This is a really pretty beach. The water is kinda rough...but it’s a nice spot to hang out. The surf would be great for boogie boarding though. There are bathrooms and showers too!

Crazy waves all the time. They break on the shore so you have to be careful. Boogie boarding can be good but is almost easier to body surf.

Homeless people occupying the pavilion and using the outdoor shower to clean up in. Park at your own risk say the signs so you know they have a problem. Surf so unsafe for swimming

We went to Baldwin Beach Park twice during our 5-day stay. Because it wasn't crowded, the sand was a beautiful golden color, and there was plenty of parking.

This is a nice park, but if you only have time to go to one park, head up the road to Wai'anapanapa instead.

IN TERMS OF SPACE, SAND & WATER QUALITY, BEACH PARK FACILITIES AND MORE THIS ONE TAKES THE AWARD. There is no shortage of nice beaches on MAUI’S central north coast, although exposure to the sometimes blustery SOUTH EAST TRADE WINDS much of the year make...More

I can't comment on buses to the beach because they are quite limited so we've never used them. You may want to consider a car rental since you can drive to several stunning beaches in only a few minutes from the airport... More
