Lovely beach

Several parks along this beach to sit and watch the ocean. Nice sand, clean beach with moderate waves.

Nice beach with many options for eating, snorkeling, all sorts of water sports. Whales are often visible spouting and breaching at the right time of year. Snorkeling off Black Rock is very good. You don't need a boat!

Nice place to be a beach bum. Bring a beach chair, good book, sunscreen or just lay out in the sun all day. Great for a beach walk. Everyone is chill here. The vibe is laid back. The sand is so clean and pure. The waves are inviting but use caution. The current can be strong. Perfect place to catch... More

We stayed 3 nights in a hotel on the beach in February 2017. We experienced pretty rough water and high tides so there wasn't much beach to hang out on. But people in our group have been during a different time of year and raved at the amount of beach and great snorkeling they have experienced. The views and location... More

It has gotten a lot busier, but still the best beach on Maui. Lost 1/2 the beach in major storm, but can't beat the fabulous views.

Beautiful beach in Lahaina! Parked at the free beach parking by the Westin. The beach was very clean, beautiful water and a great view of the other islands! You can even take the "beach walk" and walk the boardwalk and through other hotels along the beach. Took about 20 minutes and we were over at Whaler's Village.

Great Beach that is pristine. Can walk all the way from one end to Whaler's village at the other end. Good place to chillax and watch the free show put on by whales prancing around.

Walking distance from our unit! You can walk all the way to Whaler's village along the boardwalk from Papakea Resort.

Right off Hwy 30 but amazingly the noise isn't really bothersome. We had a picnic lunch & watched all of the activity around us. Surfers, paddle boarders, those grilling food...very pleasant. Then quite a surprise when we strolled down the beach & stumbled upon a gorgeous monk seal sleeping soundly at the water's edge! What an awesome animal & so... More

This is really a great beach if you visit the area north of the Westin. The only reason I gave it 4 stars over 5 is simply the fact that it is in the resort area. It is not very private or quiet, and there are often surfing lessons and such going on. If it were more quiet, it would... More
