- Barbara LBakersfield, California20 contributionsFun Tour with great views !!We can highly recommend the tour at Ocean Vodka. Our guide was fun and loved her humor and knowledge. The tastings were perfect and we were able to taste a variety of spirits. Price point for the tour was good. Stay for a perfect delicious lunch in their cafe before or after the tour. This is a must do items for adults. I understand they have music events which we were unable to participate but hopefully next trip.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 3, 2023
- KdpGilbert, Arizona41 contributionsGood view, good food, good musicWe came here before, but this time we came with our grandkids. When we arrived we were met with an enthusiastic your woman who explained the experience, she volunteered to take our family’s picture and made sure that we knew to get our chairs and then order our food from our chairs! The kids got pizza and chicken sandwiches. We had our drinks with our food and then the music started. They took suggestions and played for 1 1/2 hours. We sat on the chairs on the green grass and looked out on the ocean view. We were there at sunset and it was so enjoyable. A true vacation is valued by the experiences that you have with your family. We snorkeled with Redline Rafting, experienced the Skyline Zip Line, relaxed at Ocean Vodka, and found several local restaurants to enjoy. We had a wonderful vacation.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 9, 2023
- Ashley KOahu, Hawaii51 contributionsUnderrated, this place is a gem and must do!We stumbled upon this place and were blown away! I cannot believe we didn’t know about it! The staff are beyond lovely. The grounds is so beautiful, on the mountainside, and overlooking Ma’alea Bay. It is the perfect spot for sunset. The food is EXCELLENT, with lots of gluten free options! Can’t recommend this enough! They were so, so grateful we came to support them, especially with how few people are coming to Maui right now.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 10, 2023
- Taunya H2 contributionsYou can't miss this! Great food, sunset viewsThe tour and tasting with Patti was great. She was knowledgeable and fun. The products exceeded expectations. If you like Bourbon, you will enjoy the Brum. The dinner was great. Amazing sunset views, great cocktails and delicious food. The gluten free flatbread was so good I asked them to confirm it was really gluten free. The best ever! If you are in Maui, book tasting, reserve a table and let them do the rest. Don't miss it!!Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 10, 2023
- Susan D19 contributionsTasting with Patti!!We had a great tasting session with the very entertaining Patti! Would highly recommend. We stayed for a meal afterwards and the food was delicious. We were staying in Ka’anipali but looking to spread our activities all over the island and lend our support to all those suffering after the fire. This was a wonderful surprise!Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 14, 2023
- bgmwallisCalgary, Canada153 contributionsDrinks and a viewWe took the tour which was very informative and interesting but the lunch was the best part. Surprisingly we preferred the gin compared to the vodka, so we bought both! Give the coconut rum a try it is far superior to Malibu. Definitely take the time to eat and have a cocktail overlooking the valley. I had a flat bread and it was awesome!!!Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 15, 2023
- Carisa HLittleton, Colorado9 contributionsOne of my favorite parts of my trip to MauiThe views are beautiful the COCO-JITO is a must have. Patti is who we did out tastings with she is amazing. My favorite was the Toasted coconut rum. I would recommend the extra $10.00 for the Brum shot. The property is clean and well maintained.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 22, 2023
- Daniel R6 contributionsAmazingly Surprised! Will go every trip in future. They are welcoming visitors!!Amazing location, amazing drinks, amazing tour, amazing food. Never been here before. We are so happy went. Absolutely beautiful location. Even if you just want lunch and don’t drink its perfect. The tasting tour was fun and interesting. Learned all about how they make their booze. Not just Vodka. Try the Brum. I should have bought a bottle at the store. We had pizza and snacks after the tour. Then had some more cocktails. It was the highlight of our trip. They welcomed us with open arms. Almost cried when I heard how much business they have lost from the fires. Was nice to support the local business. We will go every time we visit maui!! 10/10! Posting a picture of the Wednesday sushi option. We wish we went Wednesday night. Its a must for anyone going to Maui. The view alone is incredible. You get a view of both sides of the ocean.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 23, 2023
- KimTucson, Arizona27 contributionsBetter than a LuauA beautiful place overlooking the island with views of the water on the Maalaea and Kahului sides. It’s a perfect setting to enjoy cocktails and food in a relaxed environment. The distilling tour is informative yet concise and then it’s on to the tasting. You sample all of their spirits except the special rum which is available for an up charge. All the spirits were smooth and flavorful. Regan was a great guide. After the tasting, we relaxed at a picnic table enjoying the view and a cocktail. We lucked into being there on a Wednesday with a sushi happy hour. The sushi rolls were flavorful and plentiful. The wait staff were attentive and efficient. A definite must visit while in Maui.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 27, 2023

Our tour guide was either stoned, tasted too much of his product or was simply a really bad public speaker. He kept stammering, repeating himself and was clearly uncomfortable leading a group. The gift shop was nice and I purchased a mug to bring home. The history of the place and it's future was interesting. The vodka bottle shape of the glass floats is iconic. I probably wouldn't recommend it.

I will not neglect the excellent products containing alcohol, but first is a delightfully shocking new development at Ocean Vodka. There is now a new woman tour leader (Patty I think). I believe she may be Australian. My extensive travels down under lead me to think this is very appropriate as many Aussies are experts with alcoholic beverages. Perhaps OV recruited her straight from a comedy club in Melbourne. I do not know, but she never missed a beat with rapid-fire clever humor and, of course, lots of information about the Ocean Vodka operation. Her quips were light and victimless so that even without the vodka and rum samples, she would be worth the visit. Really fun and unexpected entertainment fit for the kiddos as well as the senior citizens.
Now I update an enthusiastic review I wrote some years ago when Ocean Vodka and I were younger. I claim to be quite well acquainted with Vodka due to Russian brother-in-law who causes consumption of any vodka within range. On that basis I conclude that OV is just the best vodka ever with intriguing connections for the botanist, farmer, oceanographer, astronomer, geographer, anthropologist, vegan, and…those who just want to drink. Digest these examples of neat references: Ocean Vodka is based on organically produced heritage Polynesian sugarcane and desalinated North Pacific Deep Water from ~3000 m originating as surface water in the North Atlantic that was chilled, sank, flowed along the Atlantic seafloor to Antarctica, and then flowed northward under the N Pacific. If you think "how cool is that!" you hit the nail on the head because the N Pacific Deep Water is about 3.5ᵒ C. Ocean Vodka comes in a round bottle made so that it rests with the neck tilted at the ~23.5ᵒ angle of Earth’s axis relative to the plane of our orbit around the sun.
Note that premium vodka is all about purity and the OV process results in unmatchable purity. Besides being produced organically far from a nasty continent, the North Pacific Deep Water for Ocean Vodka sank in the North Atlantic at least 1500 yrs ago so that it contains little or no anthropogenic radioactivity, mercury, plastic, DDT, or anything else objectionable. Ocean Vodka is the premier product here, but now they produce outstanding rums and gin by similar methods as well. For me the gin is particularly notable, but others loved the coconut rum. I could move here for the vodka and entertainment, but at least the vodka can be gotten in nearly every mainland state.

This was a last minute adventure but we’ll worth it. Highly recommend. We called about an hour ahead of time to confirm we could join the vodka tasting times we seen on their website. (30-40mins)
Showed up and checked in at the gift shop, they handed us each our own glass to drink from
And commenced to the educational tour. I was impress with the eco friendly process they maintain at this distillery.
Betty was our hilarious story teller.. I call her that because that’s what she gave us, stories of how Ocean started, Ocean created vodka & rums also. how many other funny tasters she’s encountered.
After the tasting we enjoyed the gourmet cocktails and a beautiful view. Very relaxing with my favorite people.
It was 15$ tasting plus 10$ for the brum Taste which is the limited edition (highly recommended)

We had heard about this place and decided a distillery might be a fun thing to do. We just showed up and got a tour of the distillery and tastes of their products. They make rum and vodka. I loved their dark rum. Normally it's not my favorite thing as it tastes like burnt brown sugar to me. Theirs is delicious! Likewise, their coconut rum. They use only Kona Deep water resulting in amazing products.
The tour only cost $15 and the views from their property let you see both sides of the shores as they are near the narrow part of the island. They are opening a restaurant up there in a few months and we'll try it next time we get to Maui. If you can't get there buy a bottle of their rum. It's called Kula.

My husband and I went there on Thursday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We didn't know what to expect as we had only done wine tasting before. We learned a lot and the rum/vodka/gin tastings were wonderful. It was rainy the day we were there so we couldn't tour the farm but it looked lovely and we did have a chance to sit in the cafe which id definitely worth some time at. The prices to purchase the products was also very reasonable (and the bottles are quite unique and beautiful)

Ocean Vodka Organic Farm and Distillery was simply fantastic. We ate in the cafe (which was one of our best meals while on the island), enjoyed the grounds, did the tour/tasting, and even stopped at the gift shop.
Every single facet of the operation was excellent. The staff were personable and professional, the food was excellent, the drinks outstanding, and the setting was clean, relaxing, and beautiful.
Nothing on Maui is cheap, but Ocean Vodka is a terrific value.
Highly recommend. 5 Stars. 2 enthusiastic thumbs up. Stop reading now and make your reservations.

A beautiful and fascinating look at this distillery. Attended in April 2021 and the location is beautiful. They had recently (over the pandemic) built a new restaurant that offered food/snacks/drinks. The location overlooked the central Maui valley and offered magnificent views. The tour was great, I do not remember the guide's name but she was very knowledgeable about the products and the process. The samples were also very good and made the wife and I very eager to find their products here in NJ. The restaurant was nice for our teen son to have a bit and enjoy a non-alcoholic drink.

Great Vibe! This was our first visit and we plan to add this to our must do’s each trip to Maui. We booked our tasting in the shop and had a half hour to wait so we enjoyed a cocktail (not over priced $12.50) from the cafe out on the lawn overlooking two sides to Maui’s coastline. The vibe was sit back, relax and just enjoy the beauty Maui has to offer. There are servers that come around and take your orders so you don’t even have to go in cafe. We enjoyed our tour and tasting given by Sarah, who was celebrating 1 year of employment at Qcean but seamed like she had been doing job forever because she was so knowledgeable. Her talks were interesting and kept our attention. After we were able to view the bottling facility through multiple windows. After we chilled on the lawn again just to be sure we were good to drive. We will be back again before our vacation is over.

This is my 4th visit to Ocean Vodka and it’s exciting to see their expanded product line and new building. (Restaurant and event space is coming).
Brandon, on my most recent visit, who is a classically trained French chef, gave a great tour, with more facts and knowledge than the three other guides provided. His mixology recommendations during the testing portion of the tour, were appreciated.
Be sure to ask for your “free” shot glass at the end of the tour. I’ve been on several tours and Brandon was the first one who told us about the nice shot glass memento you pick up in the store at the end of the tour. My friends from Boston would have loved a shot glass - and as they were already paid for, I’m disappointed we did not receive them. So don’t forget yours!
The production tour itself is short but very interesting. And the spirits really shine. I bought a bottle of their new FY gin, which is probably one of the most unique gins I’ve ever tasted. Even if you’re not a gin fan, give this a try.
I’m told the bar at the tasting area makes one of the best mai tais on the island and there is a lovely overlook with picnic tables where you can gaze out at West Maui and Lanai.
A nice touch, Brandon had cut off a bunch of apple bananas and invited us to take some home. Mahalo!
Don’t forget to keep going upcountry after your Ocean Vodka visit. Surfing Goat Dairy is right up the street and there is so much to see upcountry - plan a whole day!
Keep up the great work everyone! You make Maui proud.

We were looking for something to do on our red-eye departure day from Maui and the Ocean Vodka Distillery was recommended along with some additional attractions. The Distillery was one of the only attractions open on Monday and we went ahead and booked it. It was amazing! The grounds are beautiful. The tasting was educational and enjoyable (thx Sarah). We visited the gift store and cafe before settling in the vast lawn in relaxing Adirondacks. We enjoyed drinks and snacks while taking in an awe inspiring view of the northern island, the setting sun and Kahului. There was also live entertainment in the afternoon and evening - the Hawaiian music really added to the day. We stayed for three hours relaxing and taking it all in! It was the perfect way to finish our time on the island before the short trip to the airport. Highly recommend this experience!
