Kam 1 beach was one of our favorites on Maui. Plenty of sand, great for swimming, overflow parking lot across the street. Not crowded at all. Less crowded than Makena and Wailea. We drove over an hour from Kaanapali to find the sunshine in Kihei....More

This is a great beach for the family. Clean area. An ABC store across if need a snack or other needed beach things (flip flops for me). Had turtles swim by too.

Beautiful beach park on the outer edge of kihei, before you start making your way to Wailea. It's gorgeous and a wonderful place to catch the sunsets!

We actually used the north side of the beach which is called Charlie Young beach, but it’s part of Kamaole I. Nice sand, warm water and we spotted a few crab between the rocks. There’s a port a potty and showers. Beautiful spot to watch...More

I haven't gone to Ulula, but the rocks in the Kamaole Beaches are very close to shore, so quite safe for kids.
