All 3 Kamaole beaches are connected by walking along the beach and over some grassy parks. Kam II had a life guard, showers and bathrooms. The sand was soft and nice to rest on. Parking was along the road, but the other parks did have...More

When in Kihei south, be sure to visit kam 1 and kam 2. These are 2 amazing beaches. Kam 1 is longer but both equally beautiful for swimming, boarding, snorkeling and enjoying the sunset. Never too crowded and no major drop offs or rocks on...More

We liked that it was not super crowded for beginning of December, very close to food and the tables and grills on the grassy area were a bonus. everything was pretty clean and seemed safe

Great family beach; sand great for making sand castles; very very clean! You can enjoy snorkeling, swimming, body boarding at this beach. We loved Kamaole!

This is a beautiful location to watch the sunset. Get there early to get one of the park benches. If you can't get one of the benches, the lawn grass makes a great seat to take in the awesome sunset.

We enjoyed two weeks walking and swimming on Kam II and snorkeled north and south end reefs. Lots of fish, spotted several turtles and a couple of wrays, further out. No sharks this trip!

Kamaole Beach is conveniently located across from and adjacent to many of the accommodations in Kihei. The surf was mild during our entire stay, and the beach and ocean bottom are very sandy. The water does not get deep quickly, and lends itself well to...More

This is a gently sloping beach that is great for walking and swimming. It's slightly bigger the Kamaole Beach 3 and similar in size to Kamaole Beach 1. It is connected to both of those beaches by nice walking trails. There is an adjacent park...More

Great beach for people of all ages. Clean, bathrooms, outside showers, picnic benches, shade and life guards. We stayed close by so it was a no brainer to make Kamaole 2 our main beach. We spent time daily bobbing in the surf, attempting to body...More

There are water showers to wash the sand off of you (they are located outside though), but no, there are no beach chairs. You have to bring one from your resort (if they provide one).

There isn't a charge to use any of the beaches on Maui. If you are not staying at a place on the beach, look for a public access area.
