Stopped here after reading a ton of reviews on how good the banana bread is. Most people in my group came to a conclusion that the Banana Bread at Starbucks is better. One person specifically said that it had a moldy smell to it. We also tried their Tuna sandwich which had sprouts instead of lettuce. Didn't find it good at all. Just give this place a pass and get the bread somewhere else.

Great banana bread and brownies. Two ladies at the counter trying to take orders from about 20 people getting off the tour vans. Both ladies were trying to multi-task, without success. I turned to ask my daughter what flavor of shave ice she wanted, and, when I returned to tell the lady, she was taking the order of someone else. Not good. But, your banana bread rocked!

We bought one loaf of banana bread and a hamburger. The bread was delicious but the burger was disgusting!!! I'm not even sure it was real meat,two bites and into the trash it went. Never ever buy a burger here.

Since we started driving Hana Highway later in the day, this was our turnaround point. My recommendation: don't waste your money.
The food is ALL overpriced. The shaved ice was chunky and tasted like pure sugar (no flavor), the ice cream was okay, the smoothie was anything other than smooth...you get the point.
If you're driving all the way to Hana, keep going.

Quick review here... a shack on your right indicates it is time to stretch your legs and take a breather on your way to Hana. The Banana Bread was fresh, warm and fantastic ($6+tax cash only, at the time of writing) when we got there a little past 7am, but the lady at the counter appeared to not have the best of days as her demeanor was not very welcoming and she shortchanged me a nickel.

We opted to stop here on our way to Hana and are we glad we did! The ladies that work/own it were really nice and friendly and we purchased some drinks, a loaf of bread and some coconut candies. After about 10 minutes we sliced up the banana bread (which was still warm by the way!) and all four of us were in heaven! We literally savored every crumb! The coconut candies were also very delicious. They were little toasted pieces of coconut with some sort of sugar on them. Yummy! We opted to stop again on our way back because we knew that we would not find a more tasty loaf of bread in either direction! Also a great place to take pictures and stretch your legs without getting bit by bugs like some of the other stops. Enjoy!

The shave ice with vanilla ice cream is outstanding! We stopped en route to Hana, and loved every bite. Totally refreshing!

Nice place, got a shaved ice with my boyfriend. However you don't want to sit on their bench to relax - they wash it with bleach and it discolors your clothes. The owners reply to this will probably be that we sat on the table (because it was washed in bleach), but why would we do that when there's a bench. :-)
There's a lot of other nice places to get your refreshment and to stretch your legs. Think twice about this one.

Great stop for refreshments I got the coconut icecream and my husband got the mint ice cream which were both tasty. Our son got the pineapple smoothie which was beyond wonderful. Fresh with small chunks of pineapple...yum. Wish I would have ordered it myself.

I concur with the answer above. I will also for warn you that unless you are into hot dogs bring your own picnic lunch. There are several excellent restaurants in Paia to get lunch to go!
