If you are doing the Road to Hana thing, you must stop here. It is the best of the excursion by far. Beautiful area. Beach is small, but wasn't crowded when we went. Lots of waves, but we still snorkeled...saw multiple turtles. Low visibility and dangerous for those not confident swimmers / snorkelers. Cool trail along the cliffs. Blowhole, etc.... More

This was our 3rd day in Hana and we were blown away by the beauty of the landscape. This is a must see if you are only on the road to Hana for a day or here for longer. Swim on the black sand beach and hike the trail...amazing!

It's hard to imagine all those rocks are from lava. Then add to the beauty, the black sand. We live in land locked PA and stood in absolute amazement at this state park. If your time is limited, this is one of the must see locations.

You must visit here! The rocks sound like they are breathing! When you arrive at the fron entrance the first thing you find are these beautiful blackened rocks I think are lava...not certain though. Anyways, walked out as far as I could. Not sure if it was permitted but I did it! The waves gush up against them and you... More

If you are an adventure seeking jumper - add this to your list. My adult kids love this place. Great fun to watch for those who don't jump.
