This was our final stop before making the trek back to Kaanapli. It is beautiful. The day we went it was not warm enough to swim for our taste. There are bathrooms (no soap and not the cleanest). There are also vending machines for drinks....More

We went hiking from the black sand beach to the cliffs of lava!!! Very quiet and spiritual. We saw what look like pieces of very ancient housing. This is a must stop for all Hana visitors. Gorgeous views every where. There is a blow hole...More

We stopped there on our way back from Hana. Four a very small parking spot and walked to some overlooks. Great views. They have a black sand beach. If you skip it, it isn't that big of a deal. The road to Hana has countless...More

This place is absolutely beautiful, from the blow holes, to the lava cliffs, the black sand beach, and the caves. I don't think you can take a bad photo anyway at this place. And it's free!

This is a black gravel and sharp rock beach so take your water shoes. Swim only when their are not signs posted for rip currents or box jellyfish. They are not fun to get stung by. This beach is fun but be sure and take...More

This is a very scenic and restful stop on the road to Hana. Bring a picnic lunch and claim one of the picnic tables and enjoy a meal with a view.

The park is busy in the day, quite a few folks around, we hiked and it was fine. I would recommend that you call in ahead and check what the outdoor camping facilities are, then make a decision about over night. all the... More

Hi everyone, First trip to Maui (actually Hawaii) and wondered what the best and most unique places were to visit as we travel the Road to Hana. It seems that there are alot of things to do (only looking to do about 3-4 I think) and not sure which are best. Oh, our group consists of adults in good health (ages 25-35) and kids ages 4-14. Thanks in advance guys.

Definitely make the stop at this park. My husband and I went in July for our honeymoon and we really enjoyed it. I would say it is #3 on my list. Make sure you venture into the caves. Our top other things to do would be a... More
