These are the falls you will encounter when you visit the Waimea Canyon Lookout. Consequently, this isn't a separate attraction. The 800 foot falls are viewable only from a distance. So, bring you camera with zoom or binoculars if you want to get "close up."...More

Because of all the rain during the evenings while we were on Kauai, the Waipo'o Falls in Waimea Canyon was pounding! From every look-out, we could see the long dual streams of the waterfall thundering down hundreds of feet. It was spectacular! The roadside stops...More

What a view! Not just of the falls but of the canyon too. Absolutely loved it even when it poured down. It can be slippery underfoot but if you take your time it is safe enough.

Viewable from the Waimea Canyon Lookout and from a few turnouts along the highway on the way up the canyon. The hike takes you to the top of the falls and although there are beautiful views from there you don't see the beauty of the...More

We took the 4wd trail to the trail head. Had a Nissan rogue, and it coped fine -we're not usual 4wds. Wouldn't attempt if wet. We had a dry morning. Hike is short, 30mins from carpark to the start of the falls. Great canyon views,...More

Viewable from the lookout, but definitely at a distance. I recommend binoculars and/or a good zoom lens on your camera.

We hiked in from the road since we didn’t have 4 wheel drive. It was a nice hike. Not too challenging. The views were beautiful. We hiked to the top of the falls. It was a lot of fun.

This waterfall is only viewable from helicopters. Otherwise it's required quite a bit of hiking. But all nature around is beautiful.

Beautiful views of the falls and the canyon which bears more than a passing resemblance to the Grand Canyon - in miniature. Plenty of parking and restrooms and a food and drink stand there as well.

The waterfall is near the road and the view of the river is across the street! Very easy for handicapped people! I recommend it as a must see attraction!
