If you like orchids to see and or photograph this is the place to go, especially in the morning before the breeze starts. There are more orchids than you can count. There also are some ponds with water lillies blooming. This is part of the...More
We are using Shaka Guide app while here in Kauai. We love this app as it gives you places to see that you didn’t know existed! It’s nice to be told where to park and exactly what to do. After a nice walk through the...More
This smallish tropical garden has two parts - orchids and succulents. When we were there the orchid area near the main plantation house was blooming and well maintained. The somewhat larger succulent and cacti garden just down the hill was quite overgrown and poorly maintained....More
We stopped at the Kiahuna Plantation complex to check out the Moir Pa'UaLaka Gardens. These gardens follow a foot path through the hotel complex. It was worth a stop. Even in mid-November, these gardens were filled with blooming orchids, many different kinds of exotic plants,...More

It is across from the Sheraton on Poipu Beach. If you go in the back entrance, there is a parking area. I don't remember seeing signs about the gardens from the back area, but there is possibly a sign that says Plantation Gardens Parking. Moir Gardens will be on the left as you walk in and Plantation Gardens orchids are on the right. You can see them any time of the day. There is no special time. it will probably take you about 30 minutes to walk through unless you are like me and have to photograph all the orchids.
