Oldest Catholic Church in Hawaii, built in 1841, beautiful gardens and grounds. Walk the stations of the cross, overlooking the ocean surrounded by green mountains. Spiritual place, quiet, peaceful and lovely.

To take a walk around the gardens was sheer joy - so serene. The old (& new) church was calm - and it’s replica, in the gardens, was a wonderful surprise too. A hidden gem.

We have stayed in the Poipu area on several trips to Kauai, but never saw this church before. It is of the beaten path about 1/2 mile down a road that ends at the church. The church and grounds are beautiful and it is historic...More

My wife and I visited on a Wednesday. The place is very interesting with several structures. The main Church is open and neat to look through. Odd that the signs say park on the grass when don’t want you to do that. I love the...More

We got up extra early to attend the 7 AM Sunday Mass - it was worth it! Such a welcoming parish, and a historical site.

We always feel welcome at St. Raphael's. The parishioners and priests are very helpful. The deacon had an excellent homily the weekend of May 13th

Nice open air Catholic Church, the oldest on Kauai. Even though Mass was celebrated within the building structure, the windows and entrance area were wide open, permitting a nice flow of air through the building. Seem like very hospitable parishioners.

A must to make a quick visit. Catholic church services are daily. The adjacent cemetery is an interesting place to see with the old gravestones.

You would need to contact the parish to find out about your request. Generally, Catholic priests will do this type of blessing in the church, not at the beach.
