The price is worth the taste of a Sugarloaf pineapple alone, but the fact that the owners lead the tour and give you some background on how they started the farm made the experience feel so much more personal. From learning about the farming process to actually getting to plant your own pineapple, this tour is a must for a quick stop during your trip to Kauai. We visited during the offseason, so unfortunately didn’t get to bring home a pineapple, but they made up for it by offering pineapple juice or dried pineapple instead which was a nice touch. The only downside is, it’s going to be hard to go back to eating regular yellow pineapple after our visit. 5 stars doesn’t feel high enough!

We weren't sure what to expect but ended up having a wonderful tour. Paul who is owner with his wife was very knowledgeable and engaging with the entire group. We learned everything from initial origin of the Sugarloaf to planting, seeding and the best; eating! We planted our own Sugarloaf during the tour and experienced the best pineapple you can imagine. If you are a pineapple fan, do not miss this tour!

We took our 4 grandchildren, ages 7 and 5, on this tour. They enjoyed planting, picking and tasting the pineapple. The 2 hours in the field standing and listening was a bit too long for them. The tour information about the pineapple was excellent. Paul was our guide and he was very helpful with the children answering their questions, and helping them plant and pick a pineapple. The white pineapple was delicious!

I stumbled upon Kauai Sugarloaf pineapple at a farmer’s market in 2019. We planned this trip to optimize my Kauai sugarloaf pineapple consumption and to take the farm tour this year. The farm tour is given by the owners Paul and Jude Huber. They tell their history of the farm, explain and show the various stages of the pineapples development. They demonstrate how they plant and how to pick the pineapples. You can plant and pick a pineapple to take home with you. Jude was our excellent and very entertaining tour guide. The weather made the tour more interesting and a bit slippery on the way back for the pineapple samples and Paulie’s Pineapple Phrosty. They have a great story and passion for Kauai Sugarloaf White Pineapple. Loved the tour, the owners and employees were all friendly and welcoming! I encourage anyone to try their products and take the tour!

Paul and his wife [June, if I remember correctly] were amazing! We were in Paul's 9:00 AM tour on Thursday, May 9th. He explained what he needed to do to grow Sugarloaf Pineapple [which is a ton of laborious work, by the way!]. He took us through the fields and through the process of how he grows the pineapple [and a lot of the science behind it - which we loved to learn - thanks for sharing Paul!]. We were given the chance to plant a pineapple, pick a pineapple and eat a lot of pineapple AND we each took a pineapple home! And after we eat "pounds" of pineapple, we were treated to the Pineapple Phrosty - made only from the pineapple itself [and ice, I'm assuming]. And yes, Paul, my wife Tracey and I unequivocally said "this was the best pineapple" we've ever eaten/tasted! WOW. It really melted in your mouth! Thank you for sharing your labor of love with us! This was an amazing experience. If you do nothing else in Kauai, come to the sugarloaf pineapple farm! They will fill you up on pineapple and go in depth about how they grow harvest, and deliver their delicious pineapples. These are not your typical pineapples, these are sugarloaf pineapples which taste amazing. You also get to plant and harvest your very own pineapple to take with you. And if that is not enough you also get a pineapple “frosty” that has one ingredient: pineapple.

We had a great time learning about pineapple farming. You even get to plant a pineapple, taste delicious white sugarloaf pineapple, pineapple juice and ice cream! Plus you get to harvest your very own pineapple to take home! It was fun listening to Jude, one of the owners, tell the story of how they got to where they are today with their farm.

Thank you for sharing your farm with us! It was so interesting, we have been Sugarloaf pineapple fans for many years and we loved seeing the farm where they are grown! I had no idea how much work goes into farming this beautiful and delicious fruit! It makes me appreciate it even more. The pineapple frosty was out of this world! Everyone gets to take a pineapple home also. If you want to do something different from the norm on your trip, I highly recommend it! Thank you for a fun adventure!

This was the absolute BEST pineapple I have ever put in my mouth! I had never heard of sugarloaf pineapples until I started planning our trip to Kauai. The tour was excellent and Jude was an amazing story teller. I enjoyed all the info she gave us regarding the history and the planting of pineapple. I also enjoyed hearing her stories about her life as well. Very interesting!

We were able to plant a pineapple. Which was a fun experience. They were unable to allow us to harvest our own pineapple to take home because they were short on ripe pineapples. Something that really depends on Mother Nature, not the farmers! They did give us the choice of some pineapple juice and dried pineapple (tasted like candy) that they sell in the shop. We got one of each.

We did get to sample the pineapple and it was indescribably delicious.

We ended the tour with a pineapple frosty which tasted and looked exactly like soft serve ice cream! No cream, milk, or sugar. Just pure pineapple. I will never enjoy a dole whip again.

Highly recommend!

This pineapple plantation was a must on a list had to go try a different pineapple out and it was worth it! The pineapple tastes like sugar so sweet so refreshing. And I loved learning more about pineapple and hearing about Jude and Paul's relationship and start up. So worth the tour. Thank you Jude and Paul! Mahalo!🌺
