It was close to where we were staying in Kapaa. Easy to access to the downtown area. Heard from locals that it is going to be extended another six miles north.

My husband and I stopped to walk part of the path after lunch one day as we were heading back to the airport to leave. It is a nice, paved path that runs along the beach with great views of the ocean. We saw many...More

Been going to the island for years and FINALLY have someone wanting to do this! So, drug the husband out, rented us some bikes...very easy to do and inexpensive...and hopped on the trail. It was a cloudy day, which probably made it less taxing and...More

Really nice path - first part of it is in Kapaa and is ok - not the greatest scenery but nice to be able to walk along the ocean. The second half is really nice. We rented bicycles at a local shop and rode the...More

We were staying at the Martiott Courtyard and accidentally found this path when trying to avoid the brutal traffic on the highways of Kapaa. We cut down a side street and found the path which winds along the ocean and takes you into Kapaa and...More

We rented bikes right next door from Pono Kai resort in Kapaa and had a blast biking on the trail. Would definitely recommend.

We love bike riding while in Kauai. This year was no exception. The views are spectacular and the path was moderate to easy pedaling. The only drawback was a few areas of orange mud, which now grace my back side! Recent rain had caused a...More

Joggers, bikers, walkers, small kids, skate boaters, oldsters, etc. etc. etc. Simply a fabulous path for all. Views, crashing surf, nice sand beaches. Literally right along the shore. One of the most lo-key relaxing places in Hawaii to walk or bike.

The path starts at the road by the Kapaa shores resort and winds about 4.5 miles of paved pathway and is a 1000 foot ascent. After the pavement it's a dirt road into the weeds and forest.

Yes there are a few and always plenty of bikes at each. They all recommend calling ahead and reserving. Have fun.
