My husband and I were gifted a couples massage at Kohala Spa. This was the first time either of us had a massage, and we both chose a deep tissue massage. My husband's masseuse was Jesse, and mine was Cassie. The atmosphere was so serene and calm. It was clean and beautiful, and it also smelled wonderful. Cassie took into account that I had never had a massage before, and she made the experience so enjoyable. Jesse was able to tell that my husband's knee needed special care, and he made the necessary accommodations to make him comfortable. Now that we have both had such wonderful massages, we can't wait to try a massage back home. I highly recommend this spa along with Jesse and Cassie. They do wonderful work!

Extremely nice staff, clean reception and locker rooms, and a variety of services offered. The seaside massage was incredibly relaxing with the breeze from the sea and the sound of the ocean. The massage therapist I had was absolutely wonderful - maybe the best massage I've ever had. She even gently told me there were whales in the ocean and let me look up to see since I hadn't seen any whales while in the area just yet.

On the first day of 2023 I had the worse massage in my life in Kohala spa. I specifically instructed to be careful with my neck but a massage therapist at one point put hard twisted towel under my neck which was very painful at the end. So after very expensive massage my neck was very stiff and I could not enjoy the rest of my vacation in the resort.
Note on the premises: this spa does not have any extra facilities like steam room, pool, etc.

This year was our third visit to Kohala Spa. We book a massage at the spa every time we stay at the Hilton Waikoloa Village - going to the Spa is truly a high point of our stay at Hilton Waikoloa.

The front-desk staff are friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable, very happy to help you select right massage for you. The massage therapists are downright experts - ours had decades of experience, and it showed.

The spa itself is beautiful - situated on the ground level and conveniently accessible from the Makai Tower, the atmosphere of the place is absolutely soothing. The locker room and showers are clean, tidy, well-outfitted, and have a very high-class look. Inside your locker is towel and washcloth, robe, and slippers. Take a nice, warm, relaxing shower, have a glass of water while waiting for your therapist, and off you go to your massage. It relaxes me like nothing else can.

It's a sure bet that the next time we stay at the Hilton Waikoloa, we'll be booking massages at Kohala.

I went yesterday for a pedicure as a treat to myself and because I hadnā€™t had time to get one at home prior to coming in vacation. Hands down, one of the best pedicures Iā€™ve had. The staff were all very friendly, we had great conversation during my appointment and the prices were very reasonable for being in a Hilton resort. It was relaxing, the spa was very clean and smelled wonderful from the line of products they use. Donā€™t hesitate to check this place out. Their prices are on their website and my pedicure was only $10 more than I pay back home, in rural PA.

Technician Rob was phenomenal. My husband and I had an indoor couples massage, which was nice. Other than the massage nothing really knocked our socks off. Amenities were closed even though everything is fully functioning since COVID. Locker rooms were ordinary. If you're going for a spa day I would not recommend. If you're going for an excellent massage, then totally go.

We went to Kohala for a spa day to celebrate our anniversary. Our couples seaside massage was out of this world, and honestly the best we've had in many years. The setting was fantastic, up on a low bluff facing the ocean. The sound of the waves and the ocean breeze made it truly magical.

Following the massage were facials, given by the experts at the Salon, which felt great and made us look and feel years younger.

All around, the Kohala Spa and Salon are high-class and well-run. Excellent.

The spa itself is a beautiful facility with men's and women's locker rooms, very well appointed, comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. We felt like royalty.

The facility is dated and appears to be operating at minimum capacity. The ladies' bathroom area was actually in the men's with urinals ! Yuck! Wondering if they are getting ready to remodel??
The actual massage was wonderful, however, no cucumber water or other "nicities" were offered. Disappointed in the actual "experience," for the price.

For our stay on the big island Hawaii, we choose the Hilton Waikoloa village. We thought 10 days would be enough to see it all. No way, fortunately, we'll have to come back. Soon! The Hilton Waikoloa village is a large resort with 3 main resident areas, the Makai, Palace and Ocean towers. The Ocean appeared to be more for the Vacation club/timeshare visitors area. All areas were beautiful. Because the resort is large the trams will take you from one end to the other. Many times we enjoyed the walk because of the emense amount of art on display throughout the resort, and the beauty of the resort. It's also a good way to burn a few calories. So you'll want to walk a bit just to enjoy and admire the art. There is also a boat that will transport you from end to end, at a much slower but more scenic and romantic ride, especially in the evening. A very beautiful resort, with lots of amenities. Unfortunately many of them come at a cost, $$$$. Even the snorkeling gear, fins, kayaks, boats and other equipment is available only at a fee. While I loved the beauty of the resort. I'm used to all inclusive resorts. We've been to most of the other Hawaiian islands except the big island. Two years ago the volcano eruptions made us change our plans. It was worth the wait. I earlier said unfortunately we'll have to come back. We are looking forward to returning to the island of Hawaii.
