Visible from miles away as you drive to the White Mountain Petroglyphs, we drove a less well maintained route to get a closer view. Time constraints prevented our reaching the base itself, but we seemed to see a path up the base from the "back"...More

If you have a 4-wheel drive truck, it's fine, but otherwise the roads are really rough to negotiate. We didn't bother.

Don't be fooled by how far away this place is. Even in the distance of the highway, you can see an image of this massive formation. It is not until you decide to the take the dirt road towards it that it finally comes into...More

After going through Pilot Butte, we had time so headed towards the petroglpihs, the dunes and boars tusk. We did not get close to any, extremely tough road. Should have lowered Tire Pressure down to 25-20 PSI from 70 to make road "smoother". Did see...More

The Boars Tusk is an incredible landmark in Rock Springs. You can see it from miles away. We didn't drive up to it, but had fabulous views from miles away. It is certainly a tourist attraction for anyone passing through, great for photo opps.
