Horrible

The staff there was so rude that I used the pandemic as an excuse to switch schools. My sister also had a horrible experience and switched schools with me. Would never go back.

The real thing
Aug 2020 • Family
People put down UW as the cheap place to go to if you’re a Wyoming resident; I disagree. It’s true, 34 years ago I appreciated the resident tuition affordability. But I had been enrolled in two other higher learning schools and was extremely pleased upon graduation with the quality of my education here as well as with the campus and community. Now, my 18-year old is a freshman here and I couldn’t be more proud of him. The world needs more cowboys. I don’t mean drovers or football players but authentic UW cowboys; it’s so much more than agriculture or a hat.

Very nice looking campus
Jan 2020
The campus is probably the nicest area in town. If you like walking, it's a pleasant stroll, especially around Prexy's Pasture in the greener months. Outside of that, it can look a bit monotone brown at times.

Parking is a bit of an issue & sounds to be getting worse in the next few years with the proposed changes, but we'll have to wait & see. In a town with severe winters, you'd hope for more parking as close to campus as possible, instead of further away.

definitely tour the school on the "Border Wars" game day
Nov 2019
What a great school, in a charming town. So much energy on a game day too!
Everyone person we met with was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their school. We enjoyed our tour and meeting so many different people. Caleb was the best face of the school. His presentation was informative and personal. He answered every question we had with honesty and a sense of school pride. Hoping we will be a Cowboy family soon! Thanks U of W for all the hospitality.

I currently attend college here and I just want to say Ms. Riley is the best Peer Mentor there is! She hasn’t taught us how to better college!

Fun place for football
Oct 2019 • Solo
I had some time to kill and Wyoming happened to have a football game I could attend. First, this is a smaller stadium with great sight lines. Second, concessions and ticket prices are reasonable.

Best place for a football game
Oct 2019 • Solo
I came here to go to a football game. It’s nice to watch college football in the highest field in the country at 7220. When coming here be sure to check the weather forecast, and plan accordingly, lest you get stranded.

The campus of UofW is home to some truly exceptional architecture buildings - many are constructed of sandstone and date back to the late 19th-early 20th century. The central grassy courtyard (Prexy’s Pasture) was a hive of student activity on the warm late summer day I visited. The newer building blend nicely with their older counterparts. Lots of mature foliage add a serene quality to the campus. I liked how close to downtown the campus is - 15 minutes walking. The school is truly part of the local community. Be sure to check out the football stadium and the art museum.

pretty campus
Aug 2019
Pretty campus to walk around and explore. Students were not in school so it was very quiet. Cute little bunny rabbits scurrying around!
