This was a very interesting morning in a small town museum setting. Loved the history (told through a movie) and historical settings and art

Interesting local museum

This is a small local museum that provides decent coverage of the history of the area. The video is worth watching. Don’t miss the photos in the hallway that show how the town grew over the years. The best part was the walking tour led by Maria. She kept our interest for almost an hour and a half, and was very informative. Too bad you will have to wait until next Spring for tours to begin again!

I always like to visit a museum about the history of the the area that I’m visiting. Very nice and quaint museum. I also took the walking tour with them. The gentleman that was our tour guide was very informative, friendly, and made you feel like you’ve know him. Loved my visit here and the walking tour combo. If you ever in the area pay for the combo.

The museum is one room of artifacts. The best part of the exhibit was the A-Z video, which we enjoyed. There was also a "scavenger hunt" for children that involved finding certain objects and counting the taxidermied animals, and our son was given a little prize at the end. Not a must-see, but it was a nice stop on a morning when we had some extra time.

A Good First Stop

Nice, small local museum that gives a good history of the development of the Jackson Hole area.

The video presentations were well done and most informative.

Pretty Typical Museum

This is a nice walk around and I think would be a good activity for travelers who are unable to do more physically demanding activities like hiking and white water rafting while visiting Jackson. However, like other reviews said it is small so I wouldn't plan on being there for a whole day.

It was basically in one room with interesting artifacts and a good film "From A to Z" of Jackson and the surrounding area. Very informative. It looked bigger on the internet but had a nice gift shop too.
