The other guests where the problem but management handled it very well.
Make sure you pay close attention to where the room you are reserving is located. At the theme park there were a lot of unsupervised unruly kids. I asked them not to kick the pool soccer balls over the wall as myself and other adults were sitting there, of course a soccer ball goes whizzing by almost hitting me. All of a sudden 5 angry ghetto ‘mothers’ appear out of nowhere harassing us! Thankfully the manager showed up and kicked these disgraceful people out of the place and handled the situation very well.
Hello, Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear about the unruly behavior at the pool. Guest safety is our top priority, and we apologize for the disruption caused. We're reviewing procedures to ensure better supervision and prevent similar incidents. We appreciate your kind words about the manager's intervention. We strive to provide a positive experience for all guests, and your feedback is valuable in helping us improve. Should you plan another trip to our resort, please do not hesitate to reach out. We would be delighted to assist in making your next stay just as enjoyable as the last. Warm Regards, MT Olympus Management Team

    Would NOT recommend.
I would definitely NOT recommend staying here after our recent visit. We stayed with the 50% off deal thinking it would be okay accommodations. However, it was a bit of a drive to the building we stayed at and they don't necessarily make that well known as to how far away your building will be. Upon arrival we were disappointed by how sketchy the building looked but our rooms were decent so we stayed. The waterpark was alright but not a lot of indoor things to do. No food allowed in and the food is EXPENSIVE! Not a lot of seating either. The first night we stayed the fire alarms woke up all three of my kids at 11pm and went off for about 15 minutes - it turns out it was from people smoking weed, which happened to be a very common occurrence all weekend. As we left the hotel the next morning, my brother in law had to put out a fire that someone had started in a bucket outside of the door from a cigarette butt. The next night we ended up having to talk to cops because we heard what many thought was a gun shot in the parking lot behind our building. It turned out to be people shooting off firecrackers in the parking lot and hopping in a car to getaway. The crowd of people was definitely not respectful, many employees seemed annoyed when anyone asked for help and parking to and from the hotel was SO far from the main entrance. Also to get to the waterpark was quite a walk through the ENTIRE hotel and lobby and the outdoor waterpark was even further. If you have little kids I would definitely recommend a stroller, although then you have to wait in the elevator line. Overall, I would not consider this the most safe place to visit nor will we return. :(

    Fun time with toddlers
Look its Wi Dells so its always busy but the kids had a great time, we felt safe and it was a good deal! What more can you ask for! In addition, The life guards were attentive, the staff were friendly, room was clean, and food was good. Yes, we had to drive from room to park but honestly no big deal. The indoor water park was a bit cold for toddlers but its Winter in Wisconsin still they give you free towels to use.

Usually packed, but cooler day made it better overall
Although a cloudy n overcast day, we made the best of it. Water was a little chilly, but meant less people. We had gotten free outdoor Waterpark passes and decided to then rent a cabana - about $100. Made for a great hang spot throughout the day. Enjoyed some snacks and plenty of water
Hello, Thank you for your review and for sharing your experience with us. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit to our outdoor waterpark, despite the cooler weather. Average quality, high priced.
The good: park is very clean and has everything you’d need. Slides and rides are all really cool. The bad: you’ll wait 1 to 2 hours for any large slide or big ride. Expect to do only a handful of slides or rides if you stay all day. Also, they check all bags upon entry and will make you throw away any food — the food in the park itself is below average quality and extremely overpriced. There is at least one ride in the theme park that cost extra, after we were told at the gate the wristband was all-access. To give you an idea of price, for a family of 6, we spent $320 on day passes, $40 for parking, and around $100 on food and water.
Hello, Thank you for your honest review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the park's cleanliness, variety of slides, and cool rides – sounds like a memorable family day! We understand your concerns about long wait times. Improving park flow and guest experience is an ongoing effort, and your feedback is valuable in that process. Your feedback is crucial in helping us create a better experience for all our guests. We hope to see you again soon! Warm Regards, Mt. Olympus Management Team

    Friends summer vacation
Overall our experience was good. After reading all the previous reviews we were expecting the worst. We knew the accommodations weren’t going to be anything special but it served its purpose. I booked a themed room and was placed in building 4. We knew there wasn’t a coffee maker so we brought a kettle. It was located near the main waterpark entrance, which was good. The park itself was clean, we got there at 10am and by 10:30 the kids had already banged off Icarus and Medusa along with a cpl other slides. We travelled with friends and booked a few cabanas which was convenient to serve as a home base for the kids to nap and eat We wanted to cancel our last night stay because of the weather and we were credited the night which we could use at the gift shop which was nice of them, no hassle whatsoever, the staff I interacted with were all professional and helpful

    Mt Olympus/Hotel Rome
Overall a very good stay! Just know that Hotel Rome is noisy and easy the hear walking in the room above and people in the next room and hallway through the walls. But worth it since you can walk right to the park in less than 5 minutes. Also there is a cafe in the hotel and also a small coffee place. They made a good mocha with almond milk! The water park itself was so much fun! Lines were not too long. Poseidon's rage was crazy and the wave knocked me off my feet in below knee water, 😆! Saw the owner checking in on the park almost daily, which was very cool to see!

Your feedback is valuable, and we will work on ways to address this to ensure a more peaceful stay for future guests. Go-carts and wave pool concerns
My family chose Mount Olympus for a day of fun on our family vacation to Wisconsin Dells. One of my children wanted to ride go-carts and I was interested in the large wave pool I had seen reviews about on YouTube. First, there were five different go-cart areas. All had the same go-carts. I would not recommend this park for the simple fact that about half of the people riding the go-carts cannot stop in time and wind up smashing into the back of other people in go-carts. The park says that drivers are responsible if they hit and injure others, but I did not see where the park was holding anyone accountable or doing anything about it when drivers rammed right into other go-cart riders. I felt unsafe and could not wait to get done with my go-cart ride because a kid rammed right into me. There is no padding around the cars. It is metal in contact with metal. Second, I could not wait to try the large wave pool at Mount Olympus. To my surprise, I did not like this wave pool. The wave pushed me over so fiercely that I was afraid I was going to hit heads with others. I could not stand up on two feet. I felt a total loss of control. The water is cold, even on the 80 degree day. My kids did enjoy the roller coasters, but Hades was closed when we first got there, then opened later on. Staff was working on the tracks when we got there. We did find a table with shade and enjoyed a nice break.

Low expectations but had a good experience
Had a good experience considering we went in with low expectations after reading the reviews. There were no lines upon check-in and the person we worked with was able to accommodate moving us to a building closer to Water Park (Bldg #8). Stay in a building close to the Water Park so you can walk rather than having to drive and park. Parking is included if you're a guest. Overall, our room was clean and had the basics, nothing fancy. Furniture looked like it was homemade, no headboards but it was fine. There were no issues with bathroom leaks/plumbing or bed bugs. TV is very small and the AC is very loud and also very strong (similar to other reviews I read). We had no issues with noise or hearing our neighbors through the walls. The towels they give you are very thin, almost like hospital towels but we did bring our own. We also brought our own pillows and sheets. The Water Park and Amusement Park were great! Kids really enjoyed and were there from open to close. We also went stayed at Kalahari and Mt Olympus was better for the older kids in our group. We rented a cabana the day before we went to the Park which was almost 50% cheaper than what our friends paid booking in advance. They were also a bit cheaper the day of if you want to risk it. Kids enjoyed the slides and were able to get Icarus and Medusa done right when the park opened to beat the long lines. The food is a bit pricey. Pizza was almost $30 and beers were $9. We were able to bring in our own water and some snacks which helped with costs.
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the Water Park and Amusement Park and that our team was able to accommodate your request to move closer to the park. We appreciate your feedback on the room and will look into the areas you mentioned to make improvements. Hours of fun
Fun park, less friendly than Noah's Ark in my opinion. Parking is $40 and park tickets $50. Very difficult to find coupons to save money. A family of 5 pays over $300 for a visit before paying for food, or extras. Just hard to budget for everything right now with all costs rising. Bathrooms here are always wet unlike some of the other parks, set up to get to slides are a little bit weird.. Several gates closed making you walk around more. Concrete here is very hot, no place at the slides to put shoes, no soaker hoses on concrete. Small things that just add up. Food is more affordable here. Reasonable for a waterpark. Only visited the outdoor park so I can't speak for the indoor aspect. This is a must visit in the Dells

Online they had a deal for entry tickets of $5 plus fee and taxes it ended up being around 47.00 for 4 people. However, parking cost $30. Unable to bring in snacks of any kind and not many option for just a snack type option to purchase when you have littles. However, our kiddo had a great time playing in the pool, splash pad and water slides, riding the train and racing Go-karts. We went on a Monday so it was light crowd from what we saw on the weekends.

We bought a day pass and didn’t stay in their hotel due to a lot of negative reviews. Parking was $40!!! and I feel that’s a ridiculous price for a parking fee! $10 or $15 would be reasonable but $40???!!! 😳

We still went because we drove all the way from Canada just so my son can enjoy and experience the WaterPark. He loved the rides and go karts. He enjoyed the wave pool too, the lazy River and the other kiddie slides… however, he complained that the water was very cold and I agree with him. I didn’t go swimming but dipped my feet in the water and it was cold.

It was a fun place but if you’ll consider visiting Mt. Olympus, have lots of 💵💵💵
They don’t allow outside foods so you have to buy their foods and it’s expensive too! For a bottle of water, it’s like $4+

I recommend it to others as it’s fun for the kids but for me to visit it again, NO.

We went there in winter, so only the indoor park is opened, The indoor water park only have a lazy river, one slide with tube and one without tube, and the new slidewheel ride, less than what I expect, there are 2 pool area for kids to play. If you go in weekday, less people, then no need to wait for the slides, but if you go on weekends, there are much more people, people need to wait for the tube, wait for the whirl pool, wait for the slides. But as there are not much to play, I think 2 hours would be pretty enough, but if you need to wait, then may need to 2 more hours for the waiting time. For the indoor theme park, only has 5 rides, some are just for kids, some are ok for adults, too. There are other things, but most of them need to pay extra money, e.g. the rock climbing, the bowling, the only "free" (or ticket included) things are the 5 rides, and the kids golf. Not much people in the indoor theme park, so you no need to wait for long time even in weekend. 1 hour will be pretty enough for the indoor theme park. So I think no need to to stay in the resort hotel, as you can finish both indoor water and theme park within one day. But if you stay there, you will get free tickets to go skiing or tubing in the Christmas mountain, which may be an attraction for you to stay there. If you have ski gear, the free lift tickets may be good for you, otherwise you have to pay the rental, while for tubing, the tickets include everything you need for tubing, no extra need to pay, but just 2 hours of tubing.
for the hotel, no matter where you book, you need to go to main check-in to check it first, if you book the site far from the waterpark, you need to drive a few minutes there. for check out, you just need to leave the key card in the room, there is a specific place to put those key cards.

3/4 of the park wasn't open. When I called a couple days prior to get theme park and waterpark tickets, I asked about the indoor park and the theme park specifically. When we arrived, rode 3 roller coasters, drove 2 go carts, walked in 2 wading pools that were freezing cold. We then went to go in the indoor part, which apparently only includes one water slide at this time. We inquired at one of the quick food places (no real restaurant) and they informed me that there was nothing else until 2024. We saw everything in the park (payed way too much for entry and parking) in 3 hours and left. Not enough seating definitely and was not enjoyable. Probably a good value if your tickets are included with hotel but I would recommend staying somewhere with a real indoor waterpark and an outdoor pool for the best value!

Hello, We're so sorry to learn that your experience at the park was a bit disappointing due to the limited availability of indoor attractions. We want to apologize for any miscommunication regarding this however, we do have the details of park availability and operating hours posted on our website. Our indoor parks are usually open from mid-September to mid-May, but our brand-new indoor addition, which includes the Medusa Slidewheel, is open all year long. Our Outdoor attractions are fully open for our guests to enjoy. Nevertheless, we truly regret any troubles this may have caused you. Thank you for visiting and we hope to see you again. We just left Mt. Olympus waterpark & we read reviews minutes before we checked in to Hotel Rome. We usually stay at Wilderness Resort but we wanted to try something new. Mt. OLYMPUS was cheaper & the rotating water slide attracted us to this place. My first impression walking in was that it seemed a little dated & carpets were messy. We took the stairs the whole stay because the elevator looked tiny & a little dirty. I will say the rooms were very clean & I liked the fact that they weren't carpeted. The staff were friendly & we loved the Night of Lights walk through :& how little uo the park was even after Christmas. They had a New Year's party at the indoor theme park which the kids loved with DJ and what a balloon drop & party it was! Thar was fun. Kids loved the indoor slides & overall we were satisfied but I feel the BAD reviews about this resort would make people not even try it out. Although it was packed . I would recommend more attention to carpets in hallways & rugs & clean up that elevator because first impressions are everything. I know it's hard with that many people to keep everything tidy but carpets clean are everything. Also at that indoor theme park the heat could be turned down a little. It was way too warm in there. Stuffy air.
Overall we were satisfied

I'll start out with the biggest secret about Mt Olympus.  It's not on their website, not in the FAQs, and even Google cannot seem to find information that is less than 6 years old.  If you aren't staying at the resort, PARKING IS $40.00 PER CAR.

Hades 360 is a must ride. In the dark, under the parking lot followed by an inversion is insane. Then back under the lot to the station, fast the entire way. It is dark for nearly 8 seconds each way, not space mountain dark, but PITCH BLACK cannot see a hand in front of your face dark.

After that we had to take a break so did some go carts. They really need to put some fans in the go kart barns, the fumes are horrible.  The carts are not too fast, even keeping the pedal to the floor you couldn't lose traction around a corner.  But still fun to race.

Zeus is a good out and back roller coaster, fairly timid but fun, and the least rough.

Cyclops is like being in a fight with Deadpool and Wolverine, and they are both killing you at the same time and and you're coming back to life for another hit...over...and over...and over...

Pegasus coaster was smallest of the bunch, almost a junior coaster, but quite rough. Gets young riders accustomed to being abused by the other coasters here.

Sun and mid 80s felt hot so we moved to the Waterpark area, got a locker for $15 that held our shoes and phones.

The line for the highest slide was more than and hour, as was the line for the rotating slide, so we opted for the more "normal" slides and had about 10 minute waits. We did a couple laps on the river of Troy,  which is by no means "lazy"  it moved fairly fast.  No waterfalls or features to get you wet while floating in a tube so you either have to dunk yourself or stop at the loading area to get sprayed.

The 2 wave pools are different. The first we tried had a huge wave every 2 minutes.  Was fun until someone inadvertently kicks you in the head because it was crowded and you have no control when the wave hits.

The second wave pool is an older wave action pool and filled with tubes, where you just kind of bob up and down.  Not enough power in the waves to move the tube. Just bob.

Food and drinks were expensive, as theme parks are.

Having done all we wanted to do, we ended up leaving after about 4 hours.

I tried to purchase a ticket for my niece as a gift to join friends at Mr. Olympus. The online site wasn't working so I called for help. A customer service rep helped purchase the ticket via the phone call. The ticket was charged to my account, and no ticket arrived. I called for help and was told to wait, the tickets would come soon. After more calls and still no ticket (45 minutes on hold and calling back because I kept getting put on hold) I finally had a manager get on the call. She informed me that the person who took my order put in the wrong spelling of my name even though I spell it with the "a as in apple" technique. (Also, my cc was charged so the mistake couldn't have been too dire). She fixed it and the ticket could now be sent. I explained that at this point, it was too late... my niece's ride already left for the day. I knew my niece wasn't going to be able to get back to the Dells so since the mistake was on their end, felt it was appropriate and right to own the mistake and refund my $50. The manager explained they don't do refunds. I expressed that this mistake was on their end and me being told to wait early in the process resulted in me paying $50 for their error. I promised a review of this experience. SO - I cannot speak about the waterpark as we never made it that far. I can speak to the customer service - it gets a "one star" and that is only because I think being a customer service rep for a company that has policies like this would be an awful job and even though it took a very, very long time to actually talk to a person, they were cordial. The outcome, however, was not OK. Evidently, this the Wis. Dells Mount Olympus is a that is OK making a mistake and not be accountable once they have your cc number.

Everything was as expected for my stay at the hotel. The problem was getting my son’s baby blanket that was left in our room by mistake. First off they don’t have a normal lost and found like normal hotels. I first went to building one which we stayed in on a Saturday and checked out on a Sunday. The lady at the store informed me that I would have to go to the main building on the frontage road at least
5-10min away from building one. Then comes the next issue. The language barrier. Just assisting me with needed information to fill it a form online for my lost baby blanket. I’m not sure they understand the seriousness of a child’s baby blanket. I also don’t live in Wisconsin Dells so I had to travel from Madison to basically wait for a call or email about my lost item. I couldn’t speak with a manager to speed the process up so I don’t have to wait for nothing or go home and have to drive right back. A child’s baby blanket can be a parents saving grace and without it a child could go into meltdown mode. Then a soda machine took the $3.75 off of my card but the machine in between building one and two didn’t not dispense the water I really needed after all of the running around. Who am supposed to talk to about that? The supposed concierge at the main building couldn’t understand what I was saying. So there’s more wasted time and money and all I need is a simple baby blanket that could have stayed in or near the building I stayed. I know for a fact we are not the only family to accidentally leave something behind.

Have been going here for a couple decades and it was fun with some issues.

Pros

Went on T & W (June 2023) so lines not more than 30 minutes on Medusa & less on outdoor slides. Awesome outdoor waterslides if you get lucky with weather.

Parking with room on both days since parking w/o hotel is $30 and ridiculous!!

Find the water fountains (usually near bathrooms and one by P. Rage), cold water! Since they don't even list price of drinks at the bar huts can't imagine what they cost.

Satellite hotel rooms sufficient for an overnight (building 7). Had 4 kids 12-16, didn't spend much time or even use the shower (very small bathroom) but no complaints.

Kids had a blast on the roller coasters.

Cons

With new check in location there is no personnel in Hotel Rome. The bartender couldn't tell me where lost and found was. I left key in room and had to drive a couple miles to get a new key.

New things may be coming but indoor amusement park totally closed down and old indoor waterpark can be seen, not torn down yet but not operable. Only thing indoors is new slide which could have long wait on weekends and large family area pool. Our first day there it rained, we paid $190 to play indoor at Kalahari since too cold for outdoor slides and nothing to do indoors. Went on Medusa night one with rain but no other indoor waterslides. Day two we had beautiful weather but room was $170 and should have indoor options also.

There used to be 3-4 slides on back hill which have been removed, nothing in its place but less outdoor water rides.

Lost and Found not well marked, staff doesn't know where it is after asking 5 or more people. A joke since 30 minutes after leaving item at closed indoor waterpark it was nowhere to be found. Assume someone else has it now but if it went to L & F it would have been there right after closing.

I never eat at the park, we go to car for snacks or out for meal. A cheese pizza was $27 and $31 for one topping.....wonder how it tastes?

I will spend more next time to get a place with kitchen (Wilderness), went to Paul Bunyan's for breakfast - NOT worth it! $100 before tip, $20 for 12 y/o that ate mostly pancakes and adult who didn't eat $20 worth of breakfast food either, IHOP across the street.

Here's the deal, if you want more than just water fun, yes Mt. Olympus has that. If you want real water park fun, go to Noah's Ark. There are better options for little kids and overall it is less expensive and the lines move faster. There are very few outdoor water rides at mount Olympus. Noah's Ark also has veteran's discounts (Mt. Olympus does not). Many of the hotels in the dells offer free or discount tickets for Noah's Ark. Mt. Olympus will give you a room for $60 then tack on $300 in fees for one night (super deceptive marketing).

At Mt Olympus you immediately get hit up with $25 for parking, then your ticket prices, then if you need a locker it's $15/locker which fit a purse and two towels at most. Then there are certain premium rides that cost more money once inside. The Rollercoasters are fun, but if you have any issues with your neck or back be prepared to be shaken and jarred to the point of pain. The coasters are wooden and not smooth rides by any stretch. Food is crazy expensive in the park and you are not allowed to bring in carry-ins. The food selection is also poor. Finally, there is ZERO shade available at the water park unless you spend extra for a cabana. There are some picnic tables with umbrellas, but good luck snagging one of them.

All in all, I've preferred Noah's Ark for the value, fun, amenities and cleanliness.
