So this is a pretty random stop in an area that is kind of off the beaten path, however we are big fans and we were in the area so we went out of the way to get here. The museum itself is small, but...More

Fans of Little House on the Prairie and Laura Ingalls Wilder will really enjoy this small but interesting museum. We visited on their first day open for the season. It is right in Pepin on The Great River Road. I particularly appreciated the pictures and...More

For those of us in the UK who read the books and watched the t.v. show, this museum provides an interesting view of a part of LIW's life we didn't get to see. Even though not many items on display in this museum actually belonged...More

I visited here after visiting the wayside. There is a bit about the fishing industry of early Pepin, a replica school room and a small museum. Not a lot of items are from the Ingalls connection are on display. However, I learned that Laura and...More

I hadn't planned to go to the museum. We drove by it a route to somewhere else. It was fun and we went through it in less than 30 minutes. I would recommend for anyone that enjoys the Wilder world :)

We stopped by the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum before going to the cabin. The entry fee is expensive for what you get but for Ingalls fans, it is almost acceptable. The museum is more about the life in Pepin at the time the Ingalls were...More

I read the Little House books to several of my children and they watched the show some, but somehow one my daughters did not realize that Laura was the author and a real person. So I was glad to have a chance to educate her...More

This visit was something I wish I could have done with my mom, who exposed me to all of the Laura books; the museum has Laura's teacher's dress as well as many other things of the period that she would have seen and known. Really...More
