We went out of our way to take a moment to discover these homes. Last summer we toured the Frank Lloyd Wright home/workshop in Oak Park, Ill. We thoroughly enjoyed our day tour there. On a slightly smaller scale, this block of Wright-designed homes are...More

Got a tour of the home during Doors Open Milwaukee and felt like a tourist in my own back yard. He did pre-fabricated homes so he could bring his designs to regular families(not just the wealthy who could afford him).

Always lived in the area and drove by these home but made a special stop during Doors Open Milwaukee. Daughter was not familiar with Wright so it was a nice opportunity to show her some major history and amazing design. Loved this visit.

Great tours of the Frank Lloyd Wright American System-Built Homes in Milwaukee. I love that a world renowned architect like FLW still designed homes for people of modest means. He wasn't an elitist in that regard anyway and the homes are so innovative of their...More

The organization that is responsible for these homes truly seems to want to do what is best. It is amazing to think that these homes are 100 years old. The tour was very insightful and we highly recommend it. Although $15 per person may seem...More

Great to visit this block of FLW homes, especially when tours such as Open Door Milwaukee are happening.

A set of "catalog" homes designed by FLW on a single block. Do not do just a "drive by." The guided tour is very nice.

The row of houses is worth a quick stop but good luck trying to find a convenient time to actually see the inside. The main house is open for a very limited amount of time, so most likely you will only be able to look...More

Milwaukee is home to the only city block made up entirely of Frank Lloyd Wright-designed homes. The six buildings are all multi-family homes. A local non-profit has managed to secure four (I think) of the buildings and is restoring them to their original splendor, as...More

Seems like it is rarely open to public. Two house are beautifully renovated and two sadly dilapidated. Could not go inside. Google maps sends you to the wrong address. It was around the corner from the location.
