PROS: free tour- just call for an appointment; great looking building outside and in; great tour guide; a unique venue for special occasions as they rent out banquet rooms; spacious parking; short tour .
CONS: most of the tour were about Masons; little info about the main building itself. Dangerous looking environment around the building- which unfortunately happens to a lot of historic buildings throughout the US when the previously prosperous part of town gets replaced with tenements and seedy looking apartment buildings.

I've been to the Shrine numerous times and every time I am taken back by the beauty of the building.
Ever single piece of the mosaic tiles laid in the entire building were done by an Italian father & son duo who work for 2 1/2 years straight then went back home upon completion . NOT ONE ERROR MADE

My server did an outstanding job. I had the salad aand soup first. When I was done with the salad and soup I then asked if he could put my rest of the order In. My food came out hot and I could enjoy. I really like that. My mouth start to water when I smell the aroma of the ribs. I am going to treat that this Friday. This was another great experience.

We visited the Shrine in September during the Doors Open Milwaukee event and we were in awe of this location. I've driven by the place thousands of times and always wondered what it looked like and I couldn't believe how gorgeous it was and the detailed work that went into it! Everyone was extremely friendly and it was easy for me to get around (I was in a wheelchair at that time). We enjoyed our time at this location and would return!

The food was decent and the staff was very accommodating. Nice opportunity to see the inside of a private club. VERY classy.

A treasure in Milwaukee. Stunning mosaic decor and flooring. A must see. If you get a chance to have a group dinner, you will find the chef is excellent and creates some amazing dinners. Service is always the best, top notch. Love this place. Great for theme dinners, dances, proms, etc.

Passed it a million times but never thought of a tour. Attended a wedding reception here and got a nice, close-up viewing. Enjoyed the architecture outside and the nice touches inside.

This is where the Shriners are in Milwaukee but it's a place to behold for anyone. I was there for a small dinner in one of the smaller rooms. Thirty or so guests, and the service and ambiance was superb. I've also attended very large gatherings here with the same result. But the best part of the Tripoli Shrine is the incredible architecture and design. To see the entry hall and the mosaic tiled floors is just beautiful. If you get a chance to visit, take your time.

A most unusual building at 3300 West Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee. Completed in 1928, the facade is copied from the Taj Mahal but with colored tiles. The interior has boasts traditional Moorish wall and floor designs. The main dome supports a two ton bronze chandelier from its fully decorated center. An unbelievable experience.

Didn't get to go inside, but from the outside, the building and grounds are very nice. Especially at night, the place was lit up nicely.
