We travel a lot and always go to places that have plants on display in every city. While the two domes that were open when we visited were kind of neat, I'd have to say that we've seen much better in other cities. We were...More

The domes are a nice place to visit any time of the year. I always like walking through the different biomes and seeing small new differences. I don’t work to far away and we have taken visitors there as a unique place to visit.

We were totally underwhelmed with The Domes; first of all, they're not as big as we thought they would be so if you're visiting, allow 1hr for the visit! There were only 2 domes open to the public as the 3rd was being prepared for...More

This is an architectural gem, as well as an interesting place to see a variety of plants, and be warm on a cold day. I hope Milwaukee will preserve these buildings.

Great place to spend a few hours especially when the outdoors is not cooperating! Very well done with 3 different ecozones to wander thru. Rich vegetation and design elements with exceptional variety within each zone. Don't miss this one!

Very pretty and beautifully kept - but for the price there isn't that much to see. I would suggest that if you do visit, that you coincide it with their art fairs there and then it is very worth it.

On a gray, chilly day, this place was a treat. Three totally different environments! Being from Arizona, the desert dome wasn't as unusual to us, but it held dry land species from around the world, well marked. The show dome was like a pretty garden...More

Three domes containing various plants from hot humid jungles to arid deserts. Very well laid out with an easy walking path through the areas. Plants are well labeled with lots of detailed description of the climate and how it impacts the plant and wildlife. Small...More

One of the domes was closed for an upcoming exhibit, so we only saw two, but when they're all open, it's probably especially worth a visit. It was a pleasant respite, particularly if you're really interested in plants.

Family outing to take in the smells of the tropical dome, touch the cool aloe plants in the desert dome, and soak in the wild colors of the mums, coleus, and other flowers in the seasonal dome. So relaxing and educational all at once! It’s...More

Unfortunately those two (Tropical and Desert Exhibitions) are still closed. They are saying that they might open in fall. The admission is $3.00 for every person until the other two domes are open. The only one that is open... More

Yes, that would be a wonderful time to see the Domes - get out of the cold and enjoy the warmth and color of the beautiful flowers. Great little gift shop, too!
