Spent 2 nights camping in Copper Falls State Park. There are approx. 60 campsites available (25 of which have electric hook up). Showers are available. Ancient lava flows, deep gorges and at least 3 waterfalls make this a very scenic park. A rustic cabin for...More

Breathtaking views of the multiple falls. Excellent hiking path around 4 major falls. As soon as you get off the trail, they have ice cream for sale! Great timing for a bunch of tired out kiddos. Top 3 State Parks in WI. Everything was clean...More

Enjoyed a nice walk around the loop. Insect repellent was recommended. Not worth the walk up to the observation tower- not much to see except treetops, especially if you’re 5’2” and the top of the guard rail comes up to your eyebrows. Get some ice...More

Was very impressed with the park. Fairly easy hike. Did have some areas with stairs but not too bad. Had an area along the river which was cool. Had a bald eagle swoop over while we were down there. The observation tower was so so...More

We did the 1.7 mile hike overlooking 3 sets of falls. I was impressed they had a set handicap accessible as well. The concession building had some excellent ice cream we rewarded ourselves with after hiking to the top of the observation tower. I was...More

Went in the spring when it was still a little icy, but the falls were amazing, it's a great hike and looks like a great place to stay if you like staying at state park campgrounds. Would definitely recommend.

We have visited the park in the summer and winter, what a great place, plan on spending a few hours at the park. You will need to have a state park pass or buy a daily pass.

There are many trails in the park. You can pick your difficulty level and all are very pretty. The one that goes around the waterfalls has many stairs. There are benches to sit on at the top and bottom of each and some have... More

I haven't been to Bayfield and only visited Ashland for a part of a day a few years ago. I can't recommend any hotels, but if you are into sightseeing there are lots of things to see in the area.
