My kids love going to see the animals any chance we get. And since it is free we go multiple times a year. Especially during the holidays to see the light display.

Nice zoo to take the kids and the park like atmosphere is great. Small, but nice. Good variety of animals and not too much walking.

The light show for the holiday season was spectacular. Easy access and very entertaining. Cost was voluntary so a good deal.

There's a paved path around the outer parts of the zoo, where you can view wolves, elk, etc; dogs are allowed on that path. Dogs are not permitted inside the zoo

Pets are not allowed. I believe it would be frightening for most pets-with all the smells. I suspect the no pets policy is about safety.
