This lovely 21-mile walking path, around Geneva Lake, takes pedestrians by impressive homes and quiet lakeside neighborhoods. A two-mile swath on the West End offers a manageable stroll, lovely views, and passes landmarks such as the Abbey Resort and Fontana Spa and popular local eateries like Chuck's.

Best chance ever to walk through the back yards of some really rich people. I’ve never walked the whole trail, but it’s easy to do segments.

Lovely walk but plan ahead for the trip. Make sure your cell phone is charged and bring a little back pack of water, fruit, etc.

Awesome so fun walking by the spectacular lake side homes. Also walked to the beach. Great place to have a seat on a park bench and look out at the lake.

We walked out about 3 miles before we turned back. It is a great way to start your day. The path was a bit busier on the way back, so I would suggest early in the morning if you like solitude. The path is varied...More

My husband and I have walked a few of the 7 sections of the shore path. The most popular starting point seems to be going clockwise from the public library in Lake Geneva heading toward Big Foot Beach State Park. Pros: -Beautiful lake scenery -Beautiful...More

We intended to do a long walk along the lake shore path but the problem was that where we wanted to start from there were no public access points. All we saw were signs saying private road or private drive. We did eventually find an...More

I walk the shore path daily and recently the entire shore path with a friend. It can easily be done in sections. Start at Fontana and go to Williams Bay for lunch, or the bay to Lake Geneva. It took us about nine hours to...More

I believe there are playgrounds around the path near the lake, but the path itself might be challenging for a 2 year old. It also might not be that warm up there at this time of year. It is definitely less than 2 hours away.
