The Grignon Mansion has always had a soft spot in my heart during my life. My very first experience with Civil War reenactments was at this mansion, they also taught me about the fur trade and where the saying "don't let the bed bugs bite"...More

Stopped in to see the Rose blacksmith shop located on this historic property. It is fortunate that this place has a reliable historic tradesman volunteers to provide public history demonstrations on lost arts.

Our tour guide Emma was very good with her descriptions of the items in the house. All the items and decor are restored to the time period of the house when built. Emma's little helper Chloe was great with demonstrating some of the exhibits too....More

The Grignon Mansion has recently been restored. It is a must see when visiting in the area. It is open on Saturday and Sunday 12-4 through the weekend after Labor Day.

I called Outagamie County Historical Society, they did not return a call or an email. All looks in great repair, paint intact, no broken windows, grass mown. But gardens and orchard untended, and there was no way to get inside. I'll try again this summer.
