Our niece did the 55km classic. There are a number of places for spectators to watch. One bad thing--the app for tracking spectators doesn't work that well. We kept waiting at a checkpoint and then it would tell us that she had passed. So we...More

This is the home of the American Birkebeiner, & as such it is amazing. It requires a trail pass, & is well maintained. Only downside is there aren't really any good, lengthy ski loops where you can just park, ski, & be done (it's really...More

We are fans of the Birkie Trail mainly because of having skied the race 25 times, but this system offers so much more for participants of many sports. Hiking, running, mountain and snow biking .... it is a fantastic resource which is well cared for...More

Birkie trail is over 100km of trails and offers world class skiing. It is professionally groomed year round. It has lots of great hills, mostly through wooded terrain. It is very wide, enough for 5-6 pople or so, and has spectacular views. Trails also include...More

Skied from Hayward to OO. The trail was in great shape except for a couple of minor dirt spots and one icy downhill. Lots of uphills!
