Overview
More
Kinstone is located in rural Fountain City, Wisconsin. It features one of the largest privately owned stone circles in the world. This has not been confirmed, but we must be close! There are over a million tons of granite boulders, standing stones. Come to enjoy the beauty of the space, see our gardens find a spot for quiet contemplation and re-connect to nature, or take a circuitous walk around to visit the stones and natural buildings. It is a contemplative, park-like place with spectacular views and intriguing sculpture and structures. This 30-acre bluff-top property has over 100 standing stones including a large stone circle and dolmen, classic labyrinth, thatched cordwood chapel, dry-stack stone sculpture, natural buildings, permaculture gardens, terraces and more. There are alignments at Solstice and Equinox. Kinstone is also home to Kinstone Classroom where we provide education for health and sustainable living.

My family explored this amazing place and we took a lot of pictures. This unlike any place I've ever visited before. It is like a bit of Stonehenge in the Midwest.

Beautiful location. A great way to find your calm and peace. We lucked into a tour (1:00 on Sundays during the summer!) and enjoyed hearing the meaning and stories behind many of the locations and stones there. Great place for prayer and reflection.

I participated in a Cordwood Building class recently. A place that should not be ignored- day or night. Labyrinth of seven circuits, Megalithic Dolmen, Kinstone Chapel, examples of cordwood buildings, tours and education... AND the goats!
