Hiking trails were nice but needed more/better markings. Person at entry gate was very short to the point of being rude. I did find a very nice young lady at the concession stand who provided some great information and advice on the trails. Beautiful park.

This is a 5,000+ acre park with two campgrounds, boat rentals, fishing, picnicking and hiking. There are two lakes and a waterfall that is picture worthy. Because it is in the "Driftless Area", it boasts sandstone bluffs, deep valleys and steep hills. There is something...More

Great break from the blue green algae on Madison lakes. Great beach with grassy area too to picnic or toss a football or frisbee. Can rent paddle boats or canoes too. We didn't fish but did see some fishermen catch some nice sized ones!

We love this park. In summer, we visit for hiking and biking on trails. We have recently started kayaking more too. The two lakes here are perfect for kayaking with limitations for boat traffic that keep the water calm for paddlers. Love the structure of...More

The area is beautiful. There are high hills, valleys, stone bluffs, and lakes. It has to be absolutely gorgeous in fall when all the leaves change. We just spent part of the day but there are campgrounds, boat rentals, fishing areas, bike trails, hiking trails, swimming...More

Walked around Gov. Dodge state park today and really enjoyed Cox Hollow Lake and Stephens Falls. Many more places to see there as well. Places to picnic, canoe, kayak etc.

Typical state park for camping. Friendly employees. Rates vary for out of state and in state campers...Also it seems weekdays and weekends differ. Nice settings for sites. Mosquitoes decided to populate while we were here!

Spent a whole day here very nice views and peaceful. There is so much to see and not enough room on here to tell it all.

I haven't rented one in years, but I recall it being rather expensive. Something like a 2 hour minimum and approximately $20/hour.

No, it's just a park with trails.
